When I upgraded my exhaust to the Valvetronic F8X sport exhaust, which only uses one actuator, I didn't realize the disconnected cable for the unused actuator was throwing errors until I did a scan with BimmerLink.
It doesn't hurt anything and you could just wrap it in electrical tape, but I wanted to find a legit solution: www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-b...

ohhhh thanks for the tip! I have valvetronic on my f87 and im pretty sure the shop I used likely just left the cable zip tied somewhere. I'll take a look under there shortly and check my codes too!

Hey bro, glad you found it helpful! Yeah that's likely the case.. which is fine really except maybe taping the end so it doesn't get road gunk in the connector, but for $25 this is an easy/proper fix. Thanks for checking out the video 🍻

Just curios what's the mileage on your car & is it ok to buy a high mileage car and use it as a daily? Also did you connect the VD exhaust to the original valve system instead of the using the VD valve buttons that comes with the exhaust?

I'm at about 61k on a 2017. I think the S55 has a pretty solid reputation for reliability so I wouldn't be put off buying one with a bit higher milage if I was in the market. As for the exhaust, yeah I'm using the stock actuator, but I think I'm going to get their valve controller so the valve can be 100% open.
