The hydraulic downforce cylinder on my metal bandsaw needed relacement. After looking online and having little luck finding an affordable replacement cylinder I came up with using a pneumatic cylinder with a Chek valved needle valve aka one way needle valve, that allows full fluid flow with mininal restriction in one direction, and meter flow in the other direction. I also used some 1/8" npt fittings from the local box store along with a piece of ice maker plastic pipe I had laying around.

Like your directness and brevity as well as the device itself. Thank you. Will search "one way needle valve". It would be nice to find one like yours. Get your cylinder from Surplus Center in Lincoln, NE? Is there another company like it on the internet?

Yeah nice nice job you know I got that same old story everybody does it and we never learn by the Kalamazoo bands are 1220 sight unseen and was told everything works blah blah blah blah blah and then I get it to my house and it’s just a wreck I need lots of parts have any idea where I can start looking I’ve already looked on eBay and they have nothing I need thank you

Well, poo. I've tried twice now to tell your viewers the source, nomenclature, and price of the exact flow control valve. That's what they're called and they're offered for $14 shipping included on eBay.
