Here are the upgrades we couldn't live without; in our brand new Almeria Two by McDonald Jones Homes.
We recently moved into our new home and during the pre-construction phase we had the opportunity to pick from a wide variety of upgrades, fixtures and finishes. With such a plethora of options and so many choices to make, I'd like to share the 15 upgrades I would happily spend my money on again.
This list is not inclusive of every upgrade I love but summarises 15 of my favourites. I have even divided these into 5 for your kitchen, 5 for the bathrooms and 5 overall home upgrades. If you have any questions, please leave a comment below.

Maybe a video on hidden costs to be careful about will be great as well as what are some of the things that we can get done cheaper elsewhere after the build is completed.

Great video Courtney. I think you are on the money when it comes to those suggested upgrades. I would also suggest that anyone looking to build consider consulting a custom home builder, where so many of the upgrades you have suggested such as the kitchen drawers, floor wastes, toilets etc. are standard inclusions. Congratulations on your beautiful new home!

Thank you so much! Custom certainly have their benefits, but I personally couldn’t go past McDonald Jones Homes. I do indeed love my new home, it couldn’t be more perfect 💜😄

Good points to have in count. I love kitchens I just dont know why, maybe because I spend too much time in there 😊 and the bigger the better. Looking to build my dream home in the future so this will be so helpful to reorganize my plans. Thanks.

You forgot to mention that if one raises the ceiling the kitchen doors above the stove need to be also extended otherwise it looks cheap

Great advice. Lucky for us, Coral homes included ALL of these things in their designer deluxe package and appliance package. Only spent $2899 on these 'upgrades' - steel frame, 2550 ceiling, 900 appliances, stone and timber to vanity etc. Only extra was tile insert drains. 🤗 cant wait for our build to be completed

That sounds wonderful - Yes, sometimes you can bungle these together with different packages the builders offer and get it all for a great price, well done! Good luck with construction!! 🏠✨
