In this episode Chris upgrades the Solar Charge Controller on his caravan by removing a standard PWM unit and replacing it for a more efficient Victron Energy Smart Solar MPPT unit.
Along side the change in Solar Charge Controller Chris also fit a Victron Energy Smart Battery Sense Monitor. Smart Battery Sense is a wireless battery voltage and temperature sensor for Victron MPPT Solar Chargers. With voltage and temperature sensing in place, batteries will be better charged; improving charging-efficiency and prolonging battery life. Chris also takes you through how to set up the units so they can be seen through the phone App.
