Yes, and the idea that a detective with her experience should be taking orders from a psychiatrist at a crime scene is absurd.

there is absolutely no way theyre writing off jay and hailey as a divorce. jays exit was so out of character, all of the fans were rooting for upstead.

Hi!! I'm thankful for the amazing work you guys did. But, after this episode I'm done with PD. This first episode was everything I needed to know about how the crew and producers care the desires and the feelings of the fans. You all made a pretty decent nine seasons. But I can't go through this nonsense drama for another season. I can't see how my two favorites characters are destroyed. I can't deal with the disappointed of how everything we love for years changed. This is not the serie I was in love with. Hailey Anne Upton Halstead will be forever my favorite detective. Please, tell Tracy how much we love her and we can't see what she's going to do next. I wishing you all only the best to come.

They have this backwards. The police should not be backing up the mental health team in a situation like this. Rather the police should respond first and secure the scene making sure there is no violence or crime scene. They can then request assistance from the MH team if appropriate. Upton recognized it was a crime scene and had to use force to descalate this psychotic individual. She acted not only appropriately but heroically. What was the doctor going to do? Pull a syringe of haldol out of his back pocket? I’m a psychiatrist. This model would not work.

@@jaelynnelson3455 it has been 8 months since the episode aired. It’s fair to say they wanted to move on and considering Adam needs real rehabilitation, the season would’ve just been him training to get back into shape for his position.

This is defund the police doesn't work. When you get called to a "mental health" call sometimes you need a real detective working the case and not a social worker/psychiatrist.

Yes, you do. However, considering a lot of cops do not have empathy or compassion and people get killed because of it. “Defund the police” is about restructuring and de-escalating”. It doesn’t mean take away all cops forever. Don’t spread misinformation.

@@joewhitehead3in a way. But it’s take money from cops and put into other things that people need. For example. We have robo-cops in NYC but they want to pay teachers less and close Libraries. Funneling money into systems where a lot of people die because those in it are careless is crazy. Especially when other things are needed.

We didn't have Torez in the last episode of last season an not in the 1st episode I like Torez he works well in the team ASA is still in it an the same lady what's going to happen with Hank will he finally meet someone an be happy I'll be glad when Adam is back at work luv Adam an Hank is my favorite

Will Hailey stay in Chicago I don't think Jay will come back an Hank is worried about Hailey I do think Adam will be back at work I'd like to see Hank find luv he deserves it been alone to long I think he sees Hailey as a daughter like Lindsay I hope the episode's get better I was a bit disappointed last night but so happy it's back As I'm also glad Chicago Fire is back I absolutely loved it's first episode

I'm just catching the rerun of this episode, and Hailey is really irritating the sh*t out of me. I usually like her, but i turned the damn channel after their convo with the attorney and mental health guy. Clearly, the guy has mental issues, and she def needs more training in that area.
