arctic monkeys honestly have a really incredible story and path. Seeing them go from super punky guitar and heavy drum beat concept albums about getting kicked out of UK clubs as teens and that angst and pure feeling and then just refining that already pure musical talent into just really great rock music. The drums were always there, matt helders drums like a possesed man, nicks bass was killer, jaime is so so solid. Alex hasn't always had that huge huge presence but just the pure skill but now both just shines. Seeing their stylistic changes, as jarring as they can be, are just thrilling because these guys have immense music knowledge and getting to learn of their influences through their already good music is fantastic. Humbug is so so so good. Just gloomy in a fun fun way. Super melodic. Lyrics kill always. TBHC is great because who doesn't want another concept album from them?? especially a sci fi one. They are just incredible musicians and all directions they take are because they still feel that music. I do really miss mad man matt helders but he's still the coolest drummer ever. I love his track suits and I love this band a lot.

and this is an american telling a brit things he may already know lol but they definitely have taken a more relaxed vibe the last two albums but they are still just as musically rich

I am finding out about AM from where they were to now with their last two releases... You are so correct about how much Alex has grown into a superstar... Great points.

Every album by them is REALLY different, sort of like The Beatles or Kendrick Lamar. Always changing. And yes, this is Jimmy Fallon's show haha. The Tonight Show is like THE BIG television late night show and has been for decades in the US. Most people don't find him funny, but he gets the good guests

Felt like the beginning parts were definitely more vibes from latest album. I Iike that whole last bit with with guitar, kinda blends the old sound in a little. Definitely interested to listen to the rest of the album

LoL I'm still catching up on all of the older AM songs, but the new sound is kinda cool too. AM are at a stage where they can do what they want to, because they can!

Yes they evolved through years and albums. I can easily understand that can be disturbing for a part of fanbase from the first hour but the evolution is the main part of this band. I love them from the beginning and every new album is a rediscovery of their genius ! When i look in the past and their first demo like space invader or choo choo and today with Body paint, so much travel they did but I'm in love !
