Dude!!! Just got my first ever f5.5. Got the titanium with the pattern in the titanium(seigaiha). I see why u love this knife!! Reate killed it!! The detent is perfect!! I mean the detent can’t get any better!!!! The ergos are on point!! This knife is phenomenal!! I see why all the hype and the hype is real! I see why u want to collect all ten million! I just got it in the mail and I’m already absolutely in love!!! Edit: so I used my work sharp belly grinder to open up the finger choil alittle more and yessir! So much better on ergos!

Have the bronze ones not come out yet, when the video was made? I have a bronze one. I like it’s additional weight. It feels solid like an anvil (and weighs almost as much)! I LOVE its golden color. I intend to polish it as necessary, which would be traditional for bronze (or brass, but also domestic metal in general). I don’t prefer Micarta. It’s nice in a way, but it gets dirty. Some people like that, but why would I buy a used one, and handle some other guy’s dirt? I guess they’re more comfortable if you use the knife a lot, and I do like something about its looks, but to me it just seems like the fragile choice. I have bought 4 knives, when I meant to buy 2, some at high prices, all the same, all in one day, because I got paranoid they’d run out! I bought a knife I saw once, limited edition of 100, which I bought on impulse. Turned out to be the last one! My bronze Urban EDC F5.5 is one of my best and favorite knives.

Just wish I could find some one that made an aftermarket clip…I know abt the urban edc supply ones but they’re perpetually sold out, I even hit up the dude that makes lynch clips Larry lynch or we r his first name was and he didn’t have any more of ‘em ugh Ps I also have skiffs in all my better knives including my f 5.5, but it’s just crazy to me how even really expensive knives won’t include quality bearings like skiff, with the one and possibly singular exception being Shiro’s

I dunno what ur talking about, my titanium m390 f 5.5 with the wave handle (and after market a no that came out stunningly) stabs stuff just fine if you keep it sharp

I love the pirate story😂😂 I thought it was a sailors knife shaped that way so if you slipped on the wet deck or fell from the boat rocking around in rough seas, you didn’t accidentally stab yourself or your homie standing next to you...but after the pirate babes and parrot story I’m def going with your version lmao But as far as the knife the only thing it’s missing is a detent ramp, which I’m adding to mine as soon as I get home around my tools

I have the carbon fiber/Vinland Damasteel version... But thinking of selling it and looking for the titanium version. This knife is drop dead gorgeous and perfectly executed, but I actually prefer a little more weight. Good review bro

Whenever you hear somebody have two of the same thing wether its a gun,knife or car and they say they're so different it's okay to own both you are talking to a addict......lol how do I know this you ask? Well because I feed myself the same lie when I buy two of the same knife. But I too am a knife junkie! Always looking at knife porn and making noises when I see something that I'm really swooning over. At that point co-workers come over and investigate my phone because they think I'm looking at porn and when they see its another knife they just say for god sakes man another one🤤

Yo lefty, I’m obsessed with tge 5.5 too.. have the the ti, grn micarta and had the carbon fiber but just traded it for the damasteel ti and I’m gonna do a mod too it. Immediately after I let go of the carbon fiber i felt Ill though bc if for sure has the best action however the ti is Stiiiiiif and we all love a stiffy.

Ok. I have about 31 knives. My collection limit. Justified by having one knife for each day of the month. Kinda dumb. But hey... if I don’t create a limit, then my collection is just gonna bust wide open at the seams. Of those 30+ knives, the carbon fiber elmax f5.5 is probably the nicest and most expensive. Prior to the f5.5 my nicest/priciest were probably the Spyderco Techno and/ or Benchmade Saibu. What I like best about the f5.5 is it’s just the total package. *With small one exception* Excellent materials. Excellent build quality. Excellent cutting geometry. Hands down. It’s just an excellent folding pocket knife. But that one small exception has gotta be the clip. It’s not bad. It’s not terrible. It’s just... meh and just a tiny bit hot spotty. If I could find an aftermarket replacement clip... I’d be all over it like a 💯 emoji on a iPad keyboard. However, I did find out (through a little experimentación) that the two hole Kershaw/zt clip does (in fact) line up with the hole spacing on the f5.5. But the darn ti screws from the f5.5 are too large in a diameter to fit through the little holes on a Kershaw/zt clip. So that’s a real bummer. But nevertheless. The f5.5 is still excellent. Like 99.5% perfect. And it’s gonna be tough for me to seek out another folding pocket knife that beats it in price, materials and build quality. Especially at the sub $300 price point.
