My cherry tomatoes never make it into the house! Like you, I eat them straight from the vine! Yum! I ❤️ cooking with bacon drippings also! Great flavor!

It was a treat to wake up to a new video! Sipping on my coffee while watching your awesome potato harvest AND it was refreshing to hear the rain in the background ❤ I'm all zen now 😆 I harvested my potatoes a few weeks ago and they're still sitting in my fridge 😅 I planted about 4-5 (Yukon gold) per bag and got about tennis ball sized potatoes. Will try to plant only 2 potatoes per bag to get bigger yields. Peppers are not doing well for me this year 💔 I think I need to fertilize more? You're brave to chomp on those Shishito peppers....I always seem to get the spicy ones 🥵

Glad you enjoy! Lol I like to keep it honest here. O you should! They are delicious. It’s a little hot for them in my opinion but later in August may be a better time to plant them for a fall harvest.

Great potato harvest!! I planted a "spicy salsa mix" seed packet and apparently some that came up were shishito peppers, good to know! They look yummy cooked that way! Tfs!

I do very well with Kennebec in my raised beds and grow bags. The best container producer I have tried so far. Nice harvest! So sweet of your daughter to help. She has grown up so much this year. Sheesh!

I live in 6a and am a couple of months behind you in harvesting the potatoes. But I'm excited for you and looking forward to mine. My potatoes are still very lush and green. I am going to try putting fewer potatoes in my bags to start next year. Thanks for the tip.

Hi Asia. Great potato harvest. Our first one should be ready in a week or so. I am going to try storing(freezing) basil in oil. I've never thought of that. Freezing it in water certainly didn't work for me. Got that tip from an online chef. But for ne the basil lost all flavor. Love your show and comment section. Feels likea community all gardening together. :) 18:50 cst

Depending on what camera you are using, change the camera lens to either WB or your color grade to indoor

Hello Asia. 1. The sound of that rain wow want to fall asleep lol. 2. I also love shishito peppers. 3. Also love cooking with bacon fat. It’s healthier than corn, soybean, safflower oils. Best to use avocado, coconut, olive oils and bacon fat. And yes cooking with bacon fat is not bad for you like a lot of people think . It’s what our ancestors use to cook with .

I love Shishito peppers too. I cook mine in olive oil with pink salt, ground black pepper and garlic and they are delicious. I love the idea of bacon grease, but I already eat 2 slices of bacon every morning and adding bacon grease as my cooking oil, might actually kill me 😂. Unfortunately, l am at the age where that might be a problem if I did that all summer. 😊

I hope I get enough shishitos to try them! My plant is just not producing very many. I moved them in the shade a few days ago so I’m hoping that helps the blooms. It’s so hot here, they were cooking! 😂

You’re welcome! I believe they helped in the beginning. I think it broke down kinda quickly. I may have needed to add more. By harvest time I didn’t see any traces of it. It was good for adding organic matter to the soil though.

I let them cure in the laundry room on the shelves under a towel. Most times they stay there and I use them as needed.

@YellowDoorUrbanHomestead I drop some shishito pepper seeds. However, 3 out of 4 didn't make it, so I purchased one from the bog box store. It had 3 plants planted together. And they're doing great! It's just too hot right now for them to produce.

@@YellowDoorUrbanHomestead yes it is.. Most all home grown veggies an fruits are really delicious. Taste nothing like store bought🏆🏆🏆... That soil doest get hard ?? I thought it would.. I'll have to try the kelloggs ..i usually use miricle grow potting mix. But of lately the bags are mostly dirt. .. Thanks for the reply.. Have a happy 4th of july beautiful🏆🏆🏆🏆
