Guys this was filmed exactly as you saw it - I honestly had no idea of the scenario - hence why I kept shooting into the body and not the head . The other thing is the AI Covert is QUIET - I mean big time !!! Super impressive - add the British SAS lineage and it's a cool blaster !

I love how Larry constantly challenges himself and films it live and raw. 99% of others will do the shot 1000 times and then post the best video to make it look good. Moving targets+live shoots=Not movie results.

When you add everything like you did in this equation. I enjoyed watching the truth instead of a video of Mr Vickers edited to come into theatre, take 1 shot at the Fatal T, causing the threat to drop all in one video. The greatest teacher I ever had was named "failure"

Nice, the L96 Accuracy is being used by spanish army by the snipers and it has a properly accuracy (the name says everything) and after all a very good facing sand and water resistance that makes it perfect for our soldiers. Nice video and one of my favourite weapon.

I understand how he said it was his old habits of aiming for center mass, but as an ex infantry sniper (British Army) I never had the habit of walking up to the top of an embankment looking out THEN laying down. A real soldier would leopard crawl up the embankment and take up a position ( sorry if I'm being fussy, but it stuck out like a sore thumb). I like the look of the weapon though, I used a L96A1 when I was in, which shows how old I must be. But I loved my accuracy international, it was great when I needed it to do the job.

Ammo Larry is shooting is 7.62 NATO Lapua 200 grain subsonic factory ammo. I shoot the same projectiles in a 16" bolt action 300 AAC blackout about 1020 FPS. By far the best performing and quietest load I have when compared to the 240g SMK, 220g SMK and 208g Amax. Only downfall of the 200g subsonic is it is a FMJ design so its not a hunting type bullet. Its a paper puncher, plate ringer or an ocular bone crusher. In my opinion these projectiles at these velocities have a maximum effective range of about 300 meters. After that, the bullet drop doubles every 100m. I use a mount with built in 20 MOA to increase the available elevation of the optics.

Any way you look at this shot it's a hard one. A moving hostile target with an innocent as a shield. Actual target area measures only is 6"x4." One MOA at 60 yards is 0.6282", a small window of success in any way you look at it. Larry still hits the fatal T, cranial area. Was wondering if a medula oblongata shot would be useful. The cranial mass shot worked too. Instant cessation of life no matter what. Next time I'm on the range I want to see where a bullet strikes at 60 yards with a 100 yard zero. I'll calculate in inches of drop or rise, MOA's, and, M-rads. I could watch Larry Vickers and Walt Wilkerson shoot all day.

At that distance I would have grabbed the semiautomatic scar.. probably chambered in the same caliber and quicker follow up shots. Even though in this scenario hes probably gonna kill the hostage if you miss the first shot. This is where a semi auto while not quite as accurate is gonna be my first choice. At 60 yards I'd rather have my ar than a bolt gun. Just my opinion.

Okay I'm a bit confused. The Spotter said the ones aiming for the head hit low. I don't see how? Did he actually mean high? In the army when I'd qual we would have to aim low for the 50 to hit it. About where the silhouette met the dirt.
@14truelies5 жыл бұрын
Oh never mind my mistake. That's on a 300 meter zero. But still even at 60 yards with a 100 yard zero the round is still below the line of sight? I thought it around 40 to 50 it passed the line of sight. Thanks for any info. And I'm referring to supersonic s not subs lol. But I do know it all depends on the weight of the round and the FPS.

Lorde Marsh Although SWAT Snipers almost never have any circumstances of using their rifles. It’s very rare for them to even use them. Military is a lot more gruesome and a lot more nerve wrecking. If you’re an actually good shot with a rifle, better take your ass in the military where they need more good snipers.

60 yards lol. Head shot all day with the ole M4 with an EOTECH. With the "AKA" urban sniper rifle at 60 yards the scope should be zoomed almost at 3 to zero power just to see the sweat coming off the bad guys face. If the bad guy was not moving the ole 1911 could get a center mass shot. I'm not making fun of anybody but 60 yards is throwing distance.

Learn to shoot a scope with both eyes open and your target acquisition will be much better. I can shoot a running deer on a deer drive faster than anyone I know because of this.
@thewhiskeycowboy-official6 жыл бұрын
It also depends on which eye is your dominant eye. I am right hand dominant, and left eye dominant. This means that to work well, I can target acquisition with both eyes open, but when taking the shot, I close my left eye. That said, opposite eye dominant also creates differences in pistol shooting as well. I shoot pistols with both eyes open, but turn my head sightly to the right so that my left eye is in the proper sighting position. THAT said (lol), faster is all relative, and in most cases does not end up producing the results in practical applications that most seem to think it does.
