It is March 27th 2024 and I got a big surprise when placing some of my seeds outside to sprout for early summer. Last year I planted some broccoli seeds which never seem to sprout or grow but to my surprise in one area of my garden plot there was a 2 and 1/2 ft broccoli plant with a broccoli flour which group during these Cold spring days. I also found several wonderful and big orange carrots. And even some turnips and beats that were still growing from last year. God is good and God is amazing. It is always good to hide plenty of vegetable and fruit seeds for a emergency. We all need a way to provide food for our family and for our pets. We absolutely in this difficult time in history need a way to provide for our families when shortages of food begin to creep up. God bless the human race and all the poor animals in the world.

usually videos with title like this are a lot of visual but not much information. This is a very impressive video. Thank for the information, soil mix suggestions, pot size suggestions and the showing the actual growing process. I think I will be coming back to watch this when my growing season starts again. I am in the U. S. and it is autumn now, but I am excited to try some of these suggestions come late winter/spring! You have a great video voice and this was really enjoyable to watch.

This video is FANTASTIC! With this video you have what you need to grow veggies anywhere. Your seed packet should give instruction on when the best time to plant for your region. Generally spring to early summer, but some of these can also be planted late summer for a quick early fall harvest before the snow.

Good Saturday morning Urban Gardening and Happy New Year. I do believe this is definitely your best video yet. Thanks for sharing. As we've discussed before, it's definitely a much better use of our precious natural resources to grow gardens in our urban and suburban lawns , with so many edible plants and weeds out there - like dandelion, purslane, sheep sorrel and curly dock, wild garlic, chickweed and plantain, just to name a few. 🌼🌹

I loved this video - thank you so much. Everything you are growing is amazing. I'd love to see a garden tour. I am being plagued by white fly and snails - any suggestions? I've just subscribed. Thank you again from a very hot South Australia :(

Could beach sand be used? Also, we planted Swiss chard in our strawberry patch one summer, and it went crazy. Perked up the strawberry plants for the following year too.

You can make sand out of almost any soil. Buy a screen. door screen material will work. or use a kitchen flour sifter. screen / sift the soil. anything that stays in the screen is sand. This of course can be done to beach sand also. rinse after. There are a lot of quarries on river banks. And the sand is river sand. There are quarries that get their sand from. the ocean. And there are quarries that sand is just from crushed rock. The best sand is quartz sand. But even most quarries don't know that their sand is quartz or not. No less the sand you buy at a store. If you are in the US and west of the Mississippi river. The sand you see the most of in Lowes stores ( I forgot the brand) is taken from the Santa Anna River in Redland, California. Another option is go to a quarry and buy a one ton of sand. Make sure you have a pick up or a trailer. a ton of sand is about 27 cubic feet ( one yard). From a quarry a ton of sand cost around $10. Make sure you bring a hard hat. most quarries are anal about that. Don't get me wrong there is good reason. But when you are getting sand there is no chance of overhead rocks. understand their policy is anywhere in the quarry you must wear a hard hat. If you want to buy a hard hat most home improvement stores have them. Also you may check pawn shops for used ones. Some quarries will provide a hard hat for guess. ( To be honest all quarries in the US have extra hard hats for guess. Because its a huge fine if MSHO or OSHA catches someone without one.) Now if they let you use one is another story.

@@baddog9320 I live near several beaches. I have already mulched with seaweed (after rinsing to get rid of the excess salt), so I'll grab a bucket when I go.

@@teresahegerich8835 well Beach sand sounds like a good option for you. Just rinse it. FYI salt likes to fuse with water. this is also a way to get salt from salt flats. rinse the soil and let the water dry. or distilled the rinsed water and have salt. Also note that salt water is used on crops as a pesticide. ( yeah that blow my mind when I found that out)
