I own this exact blade. It is heavy! Great chopper. Would recommend wearing it on a cross body sling, as it does get heavy on the belt. For the rattle you can heat up the middle of the sheath and pinch together for a more secure fit on the middle of the blade. My one complaint with mine is the metal is really hard. So it is a little harder to sharpen and if you hit something hard like a rock or dense tree knot it can chip the blade easily. Great review and for the price I would recommend.

I bought this knife. I use a rough Ryder cone steel sharpener. Or use a lansky or sharp mini sharpener to sharpen the blade. I get mine really sharp with those systems

I mounted a decent size magnet on the back of the sheath to hold it in place.

Must be a big magnet!

It's more like an Enep than a Parang or Khukuri.

Camp 10 was my first "survival" knife I bought. It is a good chopper but far as a knife for food processing or finer detailed work, not good. It is a tough blade and can take a lot of abuse. Not bad for the price.

This knife is a jack of all trades and master of none. I like the look of it and the sheath could give some interesting options. That said, the finish is too shiny for my taste. It's also trying to do too much. To use this knife you have to have a smaller fixed blade for it to work. You might as well get a proper machete and a small fixed blade. I have an ER Selvans and a Nepalese custom kuhkri that is a razor blade. I need to buy a smaller ER fixed blade to round thing out. The Kuhkri goes on a strap like you do or onto a backpack. She's a beast though.

Im very curious how that steel holds up. Ive seen many people say its very soft. Soft isn't necessarily a bad thing. If it's very easy to sharpen. Im thinking thats how it is because many people rave about this model. The thing is ive seen many people on KZfaq rave about junk before.
@urbanknifeguy5 ай бұрын
On paper, it should not be very soft. It does boil down to the heat treatment. Unfortunately, I have used it enough to be able to comment on the toughness.
