Great video! Good to see the two together side by side. I'm looking for something to fit in my front pocket - with definitely less stuff!! So I think it will be the VE10 for me...

Maxpedition micro as a small tool pouch in my car. Maxpedition beefy stuffed as my go to tool case at home, from which I can do most easy DIY tasks. For easy carry tech pouches I use a large and small, dependant on where I am going, iDream365 pencil cases.

👍🏼good vid. Ve10 is kind of shaped like a front pocket. I have alittle too much in my no name pocket pouch. Thinking about the ve20. Thanks!

@@urbanknifeguy just read my comment. I meant ve10 not 20. :) Haven’t had mine very long. First time using/carrying a pouch. I have a goat tool multitool. It’s made me want to carry accessories and other helpful things.

My issue with Viperade is that many of their cases do not pack items and other EDC pouches. I think this is due to the shape of their pouches, how the pockets are laid out, and the sizes of their pouches. As well the material for Viperade just feels of lesser quality overall such as this pouch having the thin mesh clearly prone to ripping instead of a more solid material. Overall they do not seem as well-built as other EDC pouches

I agree that Maxpedition and Vanquest are better built, but I still use Viperade for my EDC because the shape fits better in my front pocket and because of the internal layout suits my needs much more.

@@adamfuller3296 To each their own but for me the pocket layout for Viperade is not as good as others which I think has to do with the shape of the overall pouch that does not give enough stretch to actually fit a fair amount of items inside. Personally, I find the Alpaka Hub pouch better for a pocket pouch despite being smaller than this Viperade as it holds more items and comfortably fits everything. I would not mind all of this and the lower-quality materials though if Viperade was a more budget-friendly option but they are not. In fact, both Vanquest and Maxpedition are cheaper despite better quality and Alpaka is slightly more expensive but much better quality.

@@Browncoatful Viperade is just the only one that has the format that fits my things well. I think if you saw my pouch and what’s inside it you’d agree that none of the other pouches would work as well. And honestly, it’s not as poorly made as it appears. I’ve been using it for a long time and it hasn’t torn or come apart at all. The zipper works just as smoothly as if it was new. And this is even with me being rough on it.

Great thoughts and discussion. I do agree that after years of using the Maxpedition pouches, the configuration for Viperades did take some time to get used to. Configuration-wise, I agree that Maxpedition will suit more uses but the netting pockets are an advantage for Viperade to hold smaller items or support heavier items in the elastic bands. Quality-wise, the Viperade pouch I use the most is VE-15 and it has served me well so far. I have not tried the Vanquest or Alpaka pouches yet. Thanks both of you!

@@urbanknifeguy My ideal EDC pouch would be a Maxpedition micro exterior with a Viperade VE10 interior.

Decisions decisions. I just discovered the maxpedition after ordering the viperade. Maybe i should order the micro and see what fits my tools best.

I think you can't go wrong with either. If you really want to stuff it full to maximise space then Maxipedition has much more room and "give".

@Urban Knife Guy ya, turns out my 150 knipex cobras fit in the maxpedition micro but not in the viperade. Now I'm just waiting on my mini to see how many more tools I can squeeze in that guy. I do really like the micro so far though. It seems like a great balance between size and capacity.

Can the maxpedition fit in a jeans pocket or it is too much? I don't plan filling it to max.

The Viperade VE 15 from the other video you commented on would fit. I think another that has a clamshell opening with Zipper on 3 sides will be too big.
