Urban Valor

Күн бұрын

This week’s Urban Valor episode features Navy SEAL veteran, Mike O’Dowd. Mike was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. He was inspired to be a Navy SEAL after watching a documentary on the Discovery channel about them. When the 9/11 attack occurred, Mike felt an even greater calling to go fight for America and enlisted into the Navy to become a Navy SEAL.
In this episode, he talks about his combat operations in Iraq and Afghanistan assigned to SEAL Team 7, doing covert operations to capture targets while they slept, and working with locals who were police allies by day and enemy by night. Mike leaves us with the hardship of lost brothers and the impact transitioning back into the civilian world had on his mental health.
👍 Remember to LIKE this video if you found it informative, enjoyable, or just to show your support to Mike and/or us at Urban Valor.

Unfortunately, we've always been the baddies. The entire 20th century was carved by the might of the American military industrial complex and nato being used to reek havoc throughout the earth to establish puppet regimes who play nice with the globalist central private bankers, destroying the infrastructure so globalist capitalism could come in to rebuild for a profit, and killing many many many many generations of people. We were/are the pawns that clear the chess board for the globalist elites to come in and establish a new world order.🤷‍♂️ That's the real reason everyone hates us. It's not jealousy, it's just that they lived to reap the consequences of our actions first hand while we're pumped full of msm, social media, and Hollywood propaganda to convince ourselves that we're the greatest. Think about it, just about all of the history that the average brain-dead zombie making up the masses gets about wars comes from Hollywood while the public indoctrination system k-12 teaches them how to be good wage slaves.

I’d love to hear how you know they are innocent, were you there collecting the intel on week long stake outs? Taking pictures of their every move, listening to phone calls between said innocent civilians and potential terrorists? I was, I can tell you that being a civilian doesn’t make you innocent MANY of them knew information that could be critical to mission success for a bigger target. Sometimes you need to catch the small fish to get to the bigger one, I can tell you’ve never done anything of the sort over there or you’d know how idiotic your comment is.

Just gunna put this out there for the people who are actually interested in the reason rather than the old "oil" jokes It was due to bad intelligence that Iraq still had chemical weapons. On paper, some of Iraqs chemical weapons marked for disassembly by the UN was unaccounted for/missing. Plus on top of that Iraq had a history for supporting certain "groups" that did bad things. Additionally Iraq began refusing to allow UN inspectors into the country. With September 11th having occurred just a year prior the US as well as Britian and Poland were worried that Iraq may be trying to hand off those missing chemical WMDs to groups to use in the US or other countries that participated in the coalition against it during desert storm

@soyjawy In the last years of the wars the ROE got so restrictive you couldn't fire unless fired upon, and as soon as they dropped their weapons you couldn't shoot anymore. Lots of watching guys, knowing they were setting up, waiting to get hit, and then they'd just drop their weapons and run if it got to that, just so they could do it again the next day.

@@americanpig-dog7051 under whose orders were those changes made? Was it just certain units or that was the overall rules of engagement for all units? Either way that’s absolutely absurd. The whole operation. When I was there in Iraq in 2006, the ROE was totally different. You didn't have to wait for someone to point a weapon at you. You also could unalive a person just for having a phone in their hands. The phone could be a detonator. Wasn't waiting to find out. Then things changed.@Romanus-

The term sexy reminds me of an old joke:" a sailor and a marine dead and found themselves at the golden gates and St Peter. They asked St Peter if they got wing's. Yes said the saint. But if you have any bad thoughts they will fall off. They got their wings and walked through the golden gates and immediately a beautiful angel passed by in front of them and the sailor's wing's fell off and as the sailor bent over to pick up his wing's. The Marines wing's fell off.

😂 Thats a good one. But if you go by military culture, it should be the other way around with the Marine losing his wings first and the sailor second. With the Navy being known as the gayest branch and the Marines uniform being chick magnets.
