Exploring an abandoned health care facility that operated from 1946 to 1989 for the rehabilitation of war veterans with physical injuries and mental illnesses. This was known as The Wellington Pavilion, and was used for administration, recreational and dining. The hospital would like to preserve this building and perhaps turn it into an eco-sterwardship centre.
The little village of pavilions was originally called The Western Counties Health and Occupational Center, then later, Western Counties Wing operated by Veteran Affairs
veterans The site was eventually used as a retirement village for the veterans until 1989 when they were transferred to Parkwood Hospital.
Both the city and the hospital own the land and buildings. The city demolished its 4 buildings, and the hospital demolished 2 out of the 6 buildings it owned. The city owned the Oxford, Kent, Elgin and Lambton buildings, three of which were used by school kids for outdoor recreational classes (Oxford, Kent and Lambton pavilions). The cost to save these buildings was too high. The hospital has salvaged 4 out of its 6 buildings. The other two it owns, the Essex and Waterloo buildings were demolished. The Waterloo pavilion was beyond repair due to vandals and decay which is unfortunate as it had a gymnasium as well as an indoor pool. The Bruce Pavilion is rented by ReForest London, the Huron Pavilion is used by the Secrets of Radar Museum, and the Perth Pavilion is used as storage.

My absolute favourite place to visit! I was fortunate enough to explore the Oxford Kent and Lambton pavillions (had footage but I unfortunately lost it all), and the Elgin pavillion before it burnt down. Awesome video! Love the channel too!

Love that you're doing local videos. I stumbled on your channel from an article about The Cedars in London. We actually drove by CFB Clinton this weekend and didn't know what it was - thanks for sharing. I fish out in the ponds behind these buildings and have always wondered what was inside them.

Good job, Tiki. I enjoyed seeing some of the old electrical details that you filmed. It looks like they have tried to stabilize the building with the newer roof, but it will cost a mint to renovate this space.

I agree. You have got me so hooked on abandon places that I can not remember which one I like the best. I even find myself using my phone to look at them when I am not at the big computer. Have you any new places in this year 2014 that have not been put on KZfaq? Thank you for your hard work. I have to say one thing, you have guts for going into some of the places you show. Basements are not my thing and there have been times I just want to skip that part, but you have me so hooked I just go where ever your camera takes us.

At 2:24 and 2:27 I can see the ceiling fan downrod with canopies. Possibly the canopies are looks like Relite, but I think it looks like chandelier downrod rather than ceiling fan downrod, since it has a slightly different lower canopy.

I have seen some of your videos where you use a sort of instrument to detect the presence of entity,do you always use it every place you go filming ? and by the way, you always put some history facts regarding the places you film, that is what set you apart from the rest of them outhere, keep on the good work Tiki.

Now these types of buildings would be my favorite to go through. Fascinating. It's a shame that it's abandoned though, I'm sure there are a lot of people who could use the help of places like these. I'm taking from the info this was filmed in London Ontario? Wow you're rather close! I live pretty close to Detroit. Hello neighbor! Haha.

With the electric on (and it's good to hear that buzz and hum :) ) I'd have turned a light on in every room just to test 'em. Very considerate of them considering the boards lol. Of course, remember never to leave a light on when you leave a room because that's wasteful. No matter how much sooner the light may burn out lol.

Yes, surprisingly so. But it's still on hospital property, so I guess hydro isn't really an issue when already supplying power to the many larger buildings on the premises.

I wasn't expecting to see the power still on, overall the building was in a reasonably good condition, look like I had a fairly new roof so if there was mold it most likely was stopped when they replace the roof, is that won the buildings that will be reconditioned? From the video it looks like it's worth it.

it refers to the very start of massive electricity supplies, from water turbines(hydro) at the start of the 20th century, mainly at niagara falls, on both sides of the border, still the cheapest and greenest way to make electricity.:)

I was wondering the same thing someone asked you and I didn't see a reply~ In the womans bathroom what was in that square hole? Looked like a crawl space? But you cut it :( Why would there be a crawl space into the womans bathroom?? Also a question about another video that "STILL" bothers me after all this time, you were in a house and lightly pushed on a door that had a slide latch and IT pushed back at you hard! Have you or are you planning on going back to see if maybe there was something leaning against the door?? Thanks~ Jody

It's just a small empty storage closet that had nothing interesting in it. My camera was acting up so there were a lot of cuts in the video as to not annoy the viewers. I likely won't be returning to the phantom house as it's not that close by.

Do you believe in haunted places? I have first hand experience on such matters, and I can tell you that there *is* a world right here under our noses, where entities dwell, that are not always visible to the naked eye. Whether they are trapped or here by choice, they *do* exist. I must say you certainly have more "kahunas" than most, for going into places like this. Thanks for sharing your awesome adventures.
