The COVID-19 Information poster at 7:53 would suggest that this place closed after the first lockdown. It's crazy to see the damage and decay that two years of abandonment has brought to this place.

There is an abandoned lesiure centre near where I live. Richard Dunn's in Bradford. Closed in 2019 after the openning of a new centre near to it.

it's a shame buildings like this fall into disrepair and then get wrecked, bet the replacement won't be as well equpped as this centre but hopefully it will not have cameras in the changing areas,

There’s a red door in the bottom of the flume. That makes it work better than the cushion.

There is a very weird otis 2000vf lift where i live. It behaves and is as efficient as a schindler m-series. Very odd

Cameras were for making sure if padlocks were broken off changing room locks they could reported to the police. Managed to catch most people who did.

@@benolifts oh it’s gone down in a matter of days mate. So, so fast. I’ve been a few times. Btw did you ever get my message about a posh hotel in Brighton with a beautiful lift? A wooden one which just went up about 3 floors.

@@aidan1585 Magnet Leisure Centre, I believe a part of the lesiure centre not the pool part opened mid 70s and the pool part opened 80s, Closed about a year ago now. Wouldn't advise going in there its pretty much infested with rats and in the smashed up part Asbestos. Plus the council have security guards down there now I think after another video came out not too long ago.

@@aidan1585 The council were planing to refurbish it as far as im aware but the job was probably considerd too big, the place is and was huge and used to also consist of a second building which housed a tenpin bowling and a laser quest (nothing like being terrified as a 5 year old and salmonella from the party food). They eventually decided in 2020 to close it down a build a new lesiure centre outside of town next to a cemetery and built on where i believe aroumd 3,000 tonnes of asbestos was found dumped! Ultimately the sight will be demolished and turned into flats. More people even tho the town cant take anymore new residents due to a crippling lack of GP surgies and schools for a town as big as the town it is we do not have a A&E we do not even have our own minor injuries department people who live in the town now have to use a overcrowded minor injuries unit a few towns over which already prop up 4 other towns in the area same with the A&E which is in a dire situation as many other towns are!

Die Kameras filmen wahrscheindlich nur den Ausgangsteil wo die Leute in die Garderoben kommen, also man wird gefilmt solange man noch angezogen ist

They used to look all the way down to the main reception as its a big long corridor that leads straight to main reception I believe it was used to make sure people werent just walking in and not paying, however like most things in the centre it was probably broken!

It's a shame the copper thieves have ruined any chance of restoring power to the lifts. Love that with the seahorse and sharks 😁 If they had some big crash mats I'd have jumped from a trampoline onto them. Squish! The smashed TVs shows the stupidity of some people. They could have just took them.
