At 2:02 you can see what is called "misdirection". As the head of the spoon falls, you see him move the handle out of sight with his left hand. At this point he bends it against his leg (or a hard surface) to do the next part of the trick. When he rubs the handle it is already bent. He turns it to give the appearance of bending. Of course, it wouldn't fool the eye if we saw the head of the spoon turning, so that's why this part of the trick is left till last.

Before the show, you bend the spoon back and forth, over and over again, until it's on the verge of breaking. You can even tap it on a surface to "prove" it's a solid spoon. Then you pinch it at the breaking point and wobble it until you feel the break (which the audience can't see because that's where you're holding it). Then you bend it for show, and let it fall apart. Then watch the cretinous and gullible throw praise and money at you.

I've seen him show off his CIA certificate before. Seen more legit certificates from primary schools.

One thing's for sure he's a true icon (for the wrong reasons perhaps but still...) I remember in the 1990s he gave an interview for a Brazilian TV in London where he goes for a jog and at one point he takes a break and sees an ornamental nautical compass embedded in a wall, goes there babbling something like "for instance you concentrate hard and, MOVE!" and voila the needle moves. And I'm biasedly thinking whoa how did he do that, his hands were still holding a towel around his neck but wait he could have a magnet in his sneakers... So here's the thing, his goofy and bold persona makes him an automatic fraudster from the get go. I dunno maybe he's the real deal. Maybe.
