Indeed. Real performers. In this era, this was real music my friend. Steppenwolf and even early Chicago were in the know. Today, unfortunately music is fake, performers puppets, and well I will leave it at that. My opinion. don't hate.

The first Real Live Band I saw in my teens. Byron looked like a God when he walked on stage in Manchester. Have seen some good front men since but Byron was something else.

I don't think people realise that the power of this era of UH and that wonderful live album comes from the awesome bass playing of Gary Thain. I was lucky enough to catch them at the Oxford New Theatre.

Gary Thian was a bass monster, such a gift! Look what he was doing with hips and guitar on the stage, what a charisma. Unlike other bass players he never stood somewhere behind

Wasn't old enough to see them at their peak with David Byron but did see them in 1982 Abominog Tour at Cleveland Agora. Was enthralled!

I saw them fronting for Mason profit.early 70s...no one had heard of them.when Uriah came on everyone was stunned and overjoyed!! Didn't expect such an amazing performance!!!!!!

Back in 1972 I thought I saw them at the Whisky a Go Go in LA, but, now I can not find that they played there, lol, I listened to them a lot, and went to the Whisky, so it is possible that I put it into my head I saw them there. I can remember the stage, and was surprised that people were dancing without partners, so I started doing that too, that was quite a great concept, to be free to dance in public, if I had a partner or not! Love to all.

1973 год... Нам, школьникам, увидеть такое, сидя за советским железным занавесом, было невозможно. Только ловили западное радио и слушали через шум КГБ-шных глушилок.

Сева был богом. По пятницам пик глушения достигал максимума не в 1700 и не в 1900 часов, когда шла политика и литература, а в 2130, когда … сами знаете. В какой-то момент, я подцепил выход с приёмника на вход катушечника, и таки записал весь цикл о Цеппилинах. Потом проигрывал кусок за куском, и через шум пытался расшифровать и записать от руки … Никто на Западе не знал историю их музыки так, как знали её мы - спасибо комсомолу - именно он научил нас ценить прекрасное!

@@LabradorSea , да, я тоже слушал Севу Новгородцева, и будучи школьником, и потом студентом. И в стройотряде были любители цитировать Севу, что крайне бесило комиссара. Сейчас смешно вспомнить, а ведь рисковали ребята - один донос, и вместо института поехали бы на афганскую войну.

I wish I knew where that was performed . That was great.Saw them in early March 1973..Has to be very close to this concert. Still remember them very well performing Easy Livin at the concert.
