A gauntlet of wills and trials alike. In the end, only one team stands alone. The reward of immortality is one that drives them to their physical limit. We have reached the apex: Two teams fighting for the ultimate honor. All or nothing. How it should always be.
This video is dedicated to that struggle, and to the fourteen teams that came up short in this quest. God bless hockey.

I think even if the Oilers were to lose, all they'd have to do is look across the ice at the team they are playing & say to themselves 'These guys made it here last year & lost & still made it back again, by gawd we can have that opportunity to do it also'. Granted, there could be changes & it's hard to make it back to the Cup Final again - although the Panthers & Lightning have proven it isn't entirely difficult to do so - but the Oilers could be the next ones to do so. Like what Joe Burrow said with the Bengals in Cincinnati, the Oilers' 'window' to compete for a Stanley Cup is ALWAYS open as long as McDavid gives them hope.

The sports gods would never allow two teams from the same city and same arena to go to the final. The Bruins lost in round two, Celtics are in the finals. On the other hand, Stars lost the WCF, Mavericks are also playing in the finals.

At least my prediction of Cats in 6 is still intact… and yes Florida lost but they did gain some momentum after being down 4-1 in G5 so I can't be too surprised if Florida wins in a loud Edmonton barn

AND if Florida can't right the ship (and it's crazy how much EDM is suddenly outlplaying them end to end, Florida just seems disheartened) this would arguably be the worst collapse in NHL history (AND one of the worst in NORTH AMERICAN SPORTS history...we're talking 2004 Red Sox vs. Yankees here...) Combine that with the SC Final loss LAST year? I don't envy their future or place in hockey history if they can't rescue victory from the jaws of defeat (and infamy)...

Last year had to be a glitch in the Matrix. Honestly this was probably the best outcome, for meme goers and the team itself. We needed to move on from a stagnant Keefe, hopefully Berube is a bit of a jolt. We need to find a way to get Marner to move his NMC, otherwise he'll just continue to be a pussy next season for us. I just think we're too predictable with our offensive game plan, when Auston is shut down it's game over, our depth doesn't step up in May unlike Edmonton. It's okay though, we have the Jays to give us excitement during the summer.... what do you mean their a trainwreck too? Fuck this city it's like shoving a plunger up your ass over and over.

They both have the same about of cups, keep in mind the Panthers became a franchise in 1993-94. But yeah, Florida winning their first ever cup in franchise history would be very nice. Also, one of two videos will be outdated, either Al Bundy or the Analytical Gongshow.

I’m seeing rumors he will be traded. Hoping both him and Sheary are out the door so Stamkos will resign. Might also have to trade Cernak but with Sergachev healthy, McDonough back, and Vasilevskiy slowly returning to form, the Lightning will allow significantly less goals.

@@alexbrangan2885 Yeah, Kucherov, Point, and Stamkos might honestly be even better now than when they won the cup so even though depth scoring is a problem, the offense is good enough to win a cup. Sergachev getting injured basically left Hedman as the only man on the blue line. Raddysh and Cernak are solid but they need Sergachev and McDonough if they want to win the cup one last time with this core

Man, what a crazy journey as an Oilers fan. This is going to be an awesome series, lots of great story lines. The Oilers were playing the right way to finish off the Stars, Skinner since being pulled against the Canucks has excellent numbers, the depth has scored some big goals, special teams have been elite and the defensive structure has been tight. Florida is also an excellent, physical, deep and structured team who has already made history making a second straight finals after losing last year! Each team in this finals is facing a bit of a different beast in this finals, super exciting!

Since Vegas, Boston, and Tampa got eliminated, my support is going to the Florida Panthers. Last year, I would've rooted for them for finally making it, but the Vegas Golden Knights are a bigger priority for me. Now the Panthers are facing off against the Oilers. If Boston can prove they still own Toronto, then it's Florida's responsibility to show us all that they own Edmonton. If we get that, another team will officially end its legacy of failure, and ultimately prove that America owns Canada.
