I’d love to see this in the Marine corps. 😅 I accidentally ran into a drill instructor and he almost killed me. I’d never imagine talking back.

The profiles, holdovers, discharges/chapters got all the passes they ever dreamt of when I was in basic. The drill sergeants just didn't want to deal with them so that's why they got the royal treatment. Us recruits earned our passes, some days we were given a random pass as we neared the end of our training. I remember a couple very special entitled recruits ruined that by literally asking if we had a pass or not which lead to nonstop all day cleaning and smoke sessions. That girl here should get an article 15 with counseling and potential separation from the military recommendation. Last I checked when you rose your right hand it clearly said that you are to obey the orders of everyone appointed over you.

Willing to be she's already being chaptered out and this DS is covering their baracks for the weekend or something. Once you're in one of these holdover platoons all you do all day is hang out at the BX and go to the movies. She's probably pissed this guy said no. I've been out of the Army for quite some time and I'm pretty sure the people getting med discharges and such just had a daily NCOIC who would have a formation in the morning, tell them not to get drunk, and then have a formation at night.

One of the best memories I have of the Army is Basic Training. Everyone is from somewhere else, different social strata, color, backgrounds...., and we all put the fun is dysfunctional, dumbass privates. Every formation a parade, every payday a fortune, every meal a banquet, every break a vacation, and so on. No one was stupid enough to confront the Drills over petty BS, and the Drills treated us like the wild apes we were and tamed us into soldiers. Fort Benning 1988.

Army recruits can use their phones every weekend after a certain amount of weeks an then like 2 or three weeks later they can use them every evening
