Why is it that people must use euphemisms in order to avoid the correct words or phrases. "Passed away" is the phrase almost always used to describe death. Duane Eddie did not "pass away", he died, and at the age of 86, it's not unusual, or suspicious.
@CurrAffairs
@CurrAffairs Ай бұрын
Using euphemisms like "passed away" when referring to death is a common societal convention aimed at softening the impact of the reality of death, particularly in sensitive contexts. While some may find it more comfortable to use these softer terms, others prefer straightforward language like "died" or "death." It often comes down to personal preference and cultural norms. In the case of Duane Eddy, acknowledging his passing with respectful language that reflects the truth is certainly appropriate. Thank you for your comment. Please continue to follow our channel.

Hmmm I’m guessing because he was 86 and he had cancer but I guess it would be wise not to pass judgement until the investigation is over

The Sharps' "Got Love, Will Travel" was the only Duane Eddy disc with vocals (not by Eddy). It is not the Richard Berry tune.

Opening Group is the X-Chromatones playing "Detour"(made popular by Duane Eddy, but these guys are playing The Ventures version) at The Geauga County Fair in Burton, Ohio. On bass isTom Hinders, drums John Koch, and the guitarist is Don Ressler who passed away Oct. 12, 2016 at age 69.

What a poor excuse for an Eddy tribute. Why are you continually called him "Eddie". His first name is Duane, not Eddie. If you're going to refer to him by his last name then why are you not adding the "y" instead of "ie" ? What is with the band bit at the start of the video ? You also repeat his interview about not being the best guitarist twice. 4:50 and again at 6:00. The Venture were never a trio. A quartet usually and sometime a quintet.
