After experiencing the Apple world with my iPhone 13, I am really glad they are doing it. And this experience also gave me a newfound respect for Google, and its OS, Android. Their garden is closed as well, but it is not as much as that of Apple's. You can do quite literally anything here.

We sell 20w charger seperately for Rs 2,000. 😀😀 * iphone : Same old notch ( now modified as "Dynamic island" ) , no charger in box, no 3.5 mm audio jack, no FM radio, no expandable memory card slot, one sim + one e-sim, usb type 'C' charging port only in latest 15 series from September 2023, only 60hz display in non pro iPhone 15 models. 🤔🤔 But, iphone is the best. 😀😀

But the stronghold you have over the system for it be at such an extent that not even your bad vibes come out in the open. Apple also leads the industry in superior SoCs and SiPs for years. These processors are the essential parts of electronic devices. There are many more third party participants in the Apple ecosystem due to far superior demographics of their customer base. About 90% of Android is made up of folks that can barely afford a phone and won't buy other accessories. That's why third party companies all know that Android is a major waste of time for them.

But if you go beyond class and think about consistent performance, quality, experience and above all security then customization etc is something many would give up. If customization is more important then don’t be surprised if your data is stolen in a less protected ecosystem. May be your personal and financial data is not as important to you but for many it is a high priority.

Its not just the ecosystem. Throughout Steve Job's reign we saw revolutionary products that were very practical. The iPhone, the iPad, the macbook air, etc. There would've been more devices today that we can't even imagine of if Jobs was alive. His dream of an apple car has been left out (if you know) because Cook always was too late to step into new innovative technologies, the apple vision pro (also thought by Jobs) is now here but Cook slapped 'APple Principles' on it such that although it is revolutionary in tech, its pretty impractical for use and very exensive. Cook is the best guy for the company for its success but not for the consumers. I'm not a shareholder, but it sucks to know that such a big company is niether innovating properly nor letting others do it which has yeeted possibilities of a slightly better life. Look how he just keeps buying all AI firms out of the monopoly money power instead of organically innovating good tech@@AguiarMelwyn

I don’t know how side loading will work, because for someone (developer) to run an app on their phone using usb, you need a developer account which costs $100 annually. Maybe they will force apple to get rid of it.

It is the Google Pixel Phone, it is pure Google Android with no side loaded apps pre installed on it. Now you are in the Google walled garden with Google software apps. You have the option to keep it that way for as long as you own the phone.

As a developer myself, I have my hands tied. If I want to introduce affordability for the users, its not an option. Applicable to both ecosystems. The cut is big, i.e. 15-30%. I will encourage people to try other ecosystems which offer a common ground.

Its not Android problem, its Apples intentional monopoly. And when you use apple wallet, you are forced to share your bank and personal information to Apple. In Samsung wallet, only bank and person is involved. Where is privacy?

@swapannandi8217 It's not saying other companies are becoming bad. It is saying other companies are good, but Apple makes other company look bad. For example, for iMessage thing, Android phones can easily handle quality pictures, but Apple intentionally sends lower quality pictures to Android and costumer think when I receive pictures from Apple it is good, but if I receive from Android, it is grainy. This makes Apple user think Android is worse, so that they never move to Android. But that's not a fact, it's Apples fault.

When message is sent between iPhone it stays on Apple server so no issue but when sent to Android it compresses and that is because it goes through SMS and that is due to carrier restriction not Apple. It’s easy to just blame Apple for areas where they don’t have any control, please do some research before making such accusations and if you believe you have a valid case then sue Apple you would get rich.

I think it’s high time we change our mentalities towards Apple. See, no one is forcing you to buy Apple products, it’s just that you want the better experience, so you’re paying more. Think of it like this, Samsung makes galaxy buds, and Apple makes Airpods. Now, you tell me which one works better? Galaxy buds with Samsung or Airpods with iPhones? Of course it’s Airpods with iPhones, because they are designed and integrated in that way! That’s why the experience is buttery smooth. Androids are there for years, but look at their gestures control systems, they are still not as refined as iPhones. Android gives more options, that’s good, but if you want the refinement, you need to close down and focus on particular thing, rather than giving out everything.
