McDonalds fries have over 20 'ingredients' in USA. In UK they have 3. Potatoes, salt, oil.

Lol if you enjoy chemical fries more than normal fries then your statement may be true. Edit have you seen the ingredients video in uk fries compared to US fries?
@stuartfaulds15809 ай бұрын
if you go by the ingredients in the McD's fries, the UK ones have the three following ingredients, Potatoes, Salt, Oil to fry them in, the US ones have a LOT more ingredients. Edit: In Scotland we have at least one pizza shop which does a 1mtr diameter pizza (only on special order) and at least had another pizza shop which used to do (I'm not sure if they still do it) a 2mtr diameter pizza (again only on special order), both perfect for student parties (Both of the pizza shops are not in a chain and are a local pizza shop).

I think you guys need to watch the ingredients comparsion video that insider has, to be more informed, why would you ever think that your (u.s) fries would healthier than somewhere outside the U.S

I live in the UK. My younger sister always dips her mcdonald's fries into her milkshake! The milkshake and ice cream are the exact same. The only difference is the ice cream is kept at a colder temperature. Which makes it thicker than a milkshake 😉

There should be a law that would prohibit that garbage from being called food.

I haven’t eaten fast food for more than ten years because of the super high levels of sodium in all of it. I used to eat it until my GP put me on a low sodium diet due to my damaged kidneys (from consuming too much sodium). When you’re young, you feel invincible but then reality catches up with you and you have to change your whole way of life just to stay alive.

In Europe we also have kid-menu´s which are also smaller than the 'small' sizes. But it still makes you wonder: why is there a difference? I guess it has to do that many people in Europe just don't finish their meals and throw it away. That doesn't look good for people entering the restaurant. They might think the food is bad. So the restaurant probably think it looks much better when everybody decently finish their food. Or what else could be the reason?

I really don't think the main problem is the size of those meals. but if you show your european passport are you allowed to order the kids menu sizes ? doesn't matter really, absolutely 0 of those street/fast foods looked appealing to me and i'm currently quite hungry. Had KFC once, the leg bones would break like cardboard, scared the hell out of me, poor industrial chickens. Even those pizzas look deep fried, don't worry we have the same here, it's the beauty of it all, same food everywhere, no need to think about it, just have to swallow it.

Unpopular vegan comment but I can't believe more people aren't utterly repulsed by the meat products they eat, how they are produced and the suffering of billions of animals 🙁

G'day Guys! Just an observation form here in OZ...Domino's and Pizza Hut are the last resort places for pizza...No one with any sense of taste here drinks Starbucks dishwater hence why they were a miserable failure here...As for the rest well we do have the Macca's triple cheeseburger amongst others wile KFC is also last resort when we have Nando's or Oporto available.. Cheers!

All I will say is checkout a KZfaq video by Dr Livingood. UK vs US food standards. He is from the US but came over here during the 2012 Olympics. He compares only six products on his video but those 6 are just a few examples of what you can expect right across the board with food standards. I won't say who is better because he presents the facts and evidence on the video so check it out for yourselves.

They obviously eat all the food because they’re wearing different outfits each time they talk about a different brand, so it must be a different day each time. I know they could change their outfits anyway, but there wouldn’t be any point, so I’m going to assume they are not wasting the food.

you need to watch them do the full videos on these, McD fries in UK max 4 ingredients, no additives.. USA over 20 ingredients full of additives including colour??? the videos are longer, just as funny but so much more information.

Hi you both. I'm UK and not really bothered about the portion size; it's what's in them that concerns me. Size doesn't really matter 😮, you can only eat as much as you can and that's a personal choice. I don't like McDonald's "food" but do enjoy the occasional KFC 😊. Domino's is way to expensive for a pizza and full of fat and grease yuk. Spell check said yummy 😂😂not yuk. 😂😂, Computer decides 😂😂. Subway a no go for me. Local sandwich shops are far better in the UK.
@gillfox98999 ай бұрын
Totally agree with you. Especially on the local baker's sandwiches. Used to get a small bread bun called an oven bottom muffin in Lancashire, which is at least twice the size of a Big Mac for less than $4 and full of good things to eat freshly made in front of you

US Maccie D fries are cooked in a different oil, since the UK changed to the healthier option they're not as nice, and this is pretty much the same for all US fast food chains in that are in the UK (though when the Taco Bell opened they were pretty good, wasn't long until the quality dropped off)

I have always liked the milk shakes at Macdonalds. Years ago when the kids were little we decided to try Macdonalds in the US. It was gross. The strawberry milk shake was so sweet and artificial, not even the kids finished it. I can just about finish a medium Macdonalds meal and still feel bloated a few hours later. Not sure how you manage the US ones
