Millions of Americans turned on their television sets on Monday to watch the spectacle of President Bill Clinton giving a videotaped explanation of his affair with Monica Lewinsky. Congress released the videotape as debate raged over whether Clinton should face impeachment for alleged offenses including lying under oath about his affair with Lewinsky.
SHOWS:
WASHINGTON DC, USA. 17/8.
SOT President Bill Clinton "I think what they were trying to do to her and all these other people who knew nothing about sexual harrasment was outrageous. Just so they could hurt me - so I don't have the same attitude as you do".
Question: Clinton: "In the face of their illegal leaks in a lawsuit they knew was bogus, I knew that I still had to behave lawfully without being particularly helpful. Now it appears they didn't ask follow up questions - they were trying to set me up and trick me. I did my best. I didn't know what I now know. Did ask her to lie about it? No. I will continue to answer questions as best I can."
Sot Clinton: "what I meant was that I did things when I was alone with her that were inappropriate but did not include activity within the definition of sexual relations as given..."
Question: "is oral sex performed on you within that definition as you understood it."
Clinton SOT: "I understood it was not, no."
Question " did you say to John Podesta two days after the story broke, that you did have sexual contact with Miss Lewinsky, were you telling him the truth?"
Clinton, "this is an indirect way of (disagreement with questioner) "oral sex is not sexual relations under this definition".
Question "did you deny oral sex to John Podesta.
Clinton: "in the aftermath of this story breaking...that the next three days are a blur to me - I don't remember who I talked to. I do not remember."

Yes, and I don’t want to joke but I want to make it clear: The total taxpayer costs spent on investigating the Lewinsky Affair vary between $70Mil-$90mil (Chigaco Tribune, The Gaurdian, NPR) The total taxpayer cost for investigating the cause of 9/11 (the 9/11 Commission Report) was given a $15mil budget as stated by government official. That $15mil is not in question. So, yes, if by “investigate” you mean an actual, formal investigation into the cause, history, perpetrators, victims, those who were at fault through negligence or perjury etc. then yes, much more money was spent on the Lewinsky Affair. Now, if you include the intel gathered on the ground during the War on Terror, or CIA Operations, then the cost related to finding Osama Bin Ladin (who was found to be the main perpetrator and mastermind of 9/11) then the costs leading to finding Bin Ladin, and other AQ terrorists related to the 9/11 attacks (which could in some ways be considered an investigation or a manhunt) was largely classified - but it’s reasonable to assume the costs would have been far greater than $100mil given the 20 year war, lives lost and other factors that eventually led to finding Bin Ladin. I hope that made sense. (Also why it’s important to clarify the meaning and definition of an answer - although what Clinton did here was to the extreme and was not in good faith - but was certainly effective and entertaining)

That's why he said boldly that he did not exonerate him. Granted, the corporate Democrats who control the House are beholden to the same corporate entities that Trump is, so ultimately nothing will happen.
