USA State Song: Iowa - The Song of Iowa

Күн бұрын"The Song of Iowa" is the official state song of the U.S. state of Iowa, written by S. H. M. Byers in 1897 and adopted by Iowa State Legislature in 1911. The song is set to the tune O Tannenbaum and Byres' lyrics' theme is centered on his love and praise for Iowa.

I was in the hospital and recorded and real child with down syndrome and is used his voice speaking english. And i was smoking near f the hospital and the people ill, was suffering. I was listening them screaming and crying.

I went to the amazing Iowa State Capital yesterday 12/10/21 and inside a display case across from the information desk were things having to do with Iowa. Such as the state tree, state flower, etc. But inside that case had this exact song. So it is the 100% real state song of Iowa. If you don't believe me. You should go to the Iowa State Capital yourself and see it yourself. I took a picture and I'd like to post on here but I am unfortunately unable to do that.

I'm 54 and we had Iowa history our entire 5th grade year. We learned this song and the "Corn Song" to boot. Ackley-Geneva class of 88.

@@Revan1700 This practice was quite common before copyright became thing, European countries used to share NATIONAL anthems, if I recall correctly, the German and Russian Empires used to have the same anthems but with different lyrics. Regardless, I think these state anthems of Maryland and Iowa have enough distinctions in the way they are sung and the key they are in to be quite distinct from the original songs they were based off of.

This song will ALWAYS belong to Maryland....No Matter what those jerks in the statehouse say. They may have repealed it from the law, but they will never repeal it from the hearts of True people who have grown to love the state of Maryland
