The Finnish goalie didn't have the best game, but the US counter-attacks are absolutely deadly. Anyone who wants to succeed against them needs to disrupt that quick neutral zone transition, or it's game over.

You just need to play physical against them, but referees had decided that if anyone touches their golden boys its a penalty, so its not possible to counter it.

Biggest problem in Finland's team is that there is some great players that have barely fulfilled any of the expectations. Koivunen, Kaskimaki and especially Lambert should raise their head up and remember why they are there. It cannot be always Kemmel who everybody waits to score from the blueline. Today it worked only once and after that it was easy for US to block the shots.

Really bad game from us, but congrats to the US team. Well deserved win, and good luck in the rest of the tournament. Its looking like Canada has the best odds, then Sweden, Czech, and US are pretty close, and then maybe Switzerland if they have a few excellent showings. Maybe Slovakia as they are stronger than the Swiss I would say, but they are up against Canada and, while beatable as the Czechs showed, I just think Canada will win that pretty convincingly. Same thing for the Sweden Finland game though, Finland can win but, even as a Finn, I think Sweden is too strong in too many areas and Finlands passing, zone entries and exits, and defense is just not cutting it. Good luck to any team left, and good luck to any team in the NHL trying to get Bedard. He seems worth it.

After seeing Swedens game against Canada and Finland against Usa it is hard to think what might happend with Sweden and Finland. I think Sweden might win but tbh there on par with each other. Or not really on par but what i mean is that it is simply hard to guess what might happen tho after seeing the games i must say Sweden has had a better year than FInland during this years jvm
