The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence have 'a calling' for activism | USA TODAY

Жыл бұрынAfter rescinding their invitation to Pride Night, the Los Angeles Dodgers will honor the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence with the Community Hero Award.

The group's Los Angeles chapter will receive the award over the objections of critics such as Ron DeSantis, the Florida governor and a Republican presidential candidate; Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.); and multiple bishops who have accused the Sisters of blasphemy.
The Sisters are bracing for protests on Friday from members of Church Militant, a right-wing fringe group and others mobilized by the controversy, as well as detractors who have zeroed in on the Dodgers, too.

Interesting to see Christians hoping in Islam, Which is exactly what will happen. In the Islamic believe after all signs of the end of the world become true (which LGBTQ is one of them), Jesus will return to guide all people once again for few more decades but with Islamic faith, A religion that cannot tolerate any devil's work, It's possible it'll happens in our lifetime so every Christian and Catholic should start reading the Quran to get familliar with the last message of God that Jesus will deliver. When it all ends, who followed Jesus will go to the right place, and who opposed him will go to the wrong place.

A sensible suggestion indeed. It used to be a local thing, just something happening in the Castro (something that most straight people saw as innocent). But things have a way of going beyond their original spheres of influence, and at some point the media picks it up. Then outsiders react, quite often with negative feelings that go deep.
