The first time I watched this match, I was in the 7th grade wrestling for the first time in my life trying to figure out what the sport was like. now I'm a senior about to wrestle quite possibly my last match in a week and I'm still coming back to this video 5 years later. this is the best sport in the world and this match really just brought me to tears

Not to take anything away from Metcalf because he is one of the best and a damn tough wrestler but Oliver was not in the shape that he was in college.

Oliver looked gassed after 1:30 of the 2nd period. By the end his mouth was wide open just trying to catch his breath. Love the end though. Metcalf just shrugged his shoulders like, "What? You gave me the opportunity to put you on your back... What do you expect?" Great match.

Jordan Oliver is the type of wrestler that if you stood in the center of the mat he wouldn't try to take you down, ever. Brent (I almost wrote Chase) is the type of wrestler that would catch the Flash and take him down.

Metcalf is the essence of wrestling. True grit and 100% effort until the end of the last period.

nah, alot sloppier. dake burroughs was so intense, such high level wrestling and both wrestlers had complete winning attitudes and great sportsmanship. In this match, the sportsmanship was hardly there, and while the wrestling was great and entertaining, it was not quite at the dake vs burroughs level

For those of you bringing up the match with Caldwell where he push him while doing a backflip, go back and watch it. They asked Metcalf why he shoved him and Metcalf said because they were still time on the clock and guess what, there was. Just like this match there was still time on the clock.

He was like, "Hmm... didn't see that coming did ya?"

Good Match. Who ever says that's poor sportsmanship on Metcalf's behalf is just ignorant. There was 2 seconds left on the clock. If he would have tackled him after time was up that would have been a different story. Oliver is a good wrestler but he stopped wrestling in the last seconds. Metcalf deserved this win.

It wasn't a personal foul. There was still time on the clock, and Metcalf wasn't about to stop wrestling in the national finals just so Caldwell could celebrate.

The problem Have with Brent Metcalf is that he has already won a bunch of matches and it would have been much more equitable had he let his opponent win some. But no, he had to be selfish and win just one more.

If it was a 1 point match and it would have played out the exact same way but this time Metcalf holds on to him when he shoved him and guess what, the refs would've gave him two and people would be saying why would he do that flip with time on the clock.

Metcalf is extremely boring to watch. He gets it done, but hes boring. I think JO with his speed and technique has more potential and if he utilizes more motion Burroughesque he could be unstoppable.
