This device is portable, but if you want to record outdoors, it is sensitive, so expect wind and abrasion of clothing to be expected. However, elements such as rain can cause the device to malfunction. So, make sure the device is protected. I do not carry anything to meet that need, our audio recorders are great for sound activation, but in an optimal setting such as indoors; where less wind or sounds, otherwise it would be continuously recording. They're pretty sensitive as it is.

When editing this video, we are able to clip the audio recording from the device over the video of the distance test. That allows you to see the distance test while I'm speaking into the device itself.
