I have worked with pallets since 2015, mostly making decor and using them in my furniture redesigns. In the past 3+ years, I have been working crazy hours at my day job and moved. That has kept me from doing my true passion, unfortunately. Just recently though, I have changed several things in my life. Now, I am able to only work part-time so I can devote all my spare time to my hobby turned business. I just secured space on consignment with a local small business that is growing at an amazing rate. You! You have inspired me to 'just get started' (again). Because I came across your videos, I have put all this in motion. I could not be more excited to do what I love and see where this leads me. Thank you!

Hi Mark. . . I just wanted to let you know that you have indeed inspired me. I started watching you some months back and since then I now have a man cave, a good stock of tools and an unending heap of pallets. Unfortunately I also have a busted wrist, so I'm taking it easy for a couple of weeks then it's back to the smell of wood shavings and the sound of the table saw. Thanks mate, you have changed my life. Power to your elbow. Paul (in Scotland)

Thanks for all ye do Mark. I'm sinking doon the pallet wood makers hole thanks to you, Jesper and a couple others. My shop is the overhang roof and a 3x3m popup gazebo Santa brought. 10" contractors saw, drill & driver and 2 5" bench planes. Along with a few other bits & bobs. The house is slowly filling up with pallet wood projects as I expand my skills and do what I can to Save The Pallets! All the best in 2024 to you & yours. Take care & stay safe.

Mark, I have been watching your videos for a little over a year now and I would just like to thank you for being such an inspiration when it comes to trying wood working. I've often found myself binging your entire channel lately and recently began gathering materials to give wood working a go! Over the past week I have gotten 11 pallets, a miter saw, table saw, and a router which just got delivered this morning. I even got the pneumatic de-nailer and an air compressor after seeing it mentioned in so many of your videos! Keep up the good work, I can't wait to watch more of your videos while I am "just getting started" on my wood working adventure, Cheers!

Hello 👋 from the USA 🇺🇸! Never under price your work. Charge what you charge. In the world of creators, there is a saying: "If you like what I do, this is what I charge." People don't blink when they buy stuff at the chain stores that is practically 💩 worthless. They shouldn't balk at the price of handmade. I personally would pay the $2300Aus which is approximately $1530 USD. Keep on making! Love the round table! I enjoy your work and your videos. I find them inspiring ❤️

Your video of just getting basic tools and getting into it was awesome cuz all im currently using is ozito and ferrex brand tools to make small projects and gain experience. But im having a ball doing it and helps with clearing the head noise! And how you show stuff ups and how you present yourself feels really genuine unlike alot of others. Lol I am a Handyman odd jobber from Tucson AZ USA 🇺🇸. I just started watching your videos and I was just wondering what I would need to get started for tools. All I have is a circular saw, a couple small table saws and some wood chisels that belonged to my Grandfather. I have n9 budget but I do have some lovely Dumpsters to pick from. I make have made a few thousand by pulling perfectly good things and new things that I have absolutely no idea why someone would want to throw away. That makes me sad. One of the first things I found in the Dumpster at my parents mobile home park was a large old craftsman tool box. It was sitting near the top and it was super heavy and I dropped it like 12 feet to the blacktop. It didn't even scratch the toolbox that contained a lot of big deep well sockets. Anyway it contained a lot of tools that made me happy to have found it but it also made me feel extremely sad that someone had taken the time and effort to push the box into the Dumpster. Why nt give it away to a person who needed some tools or donate it? I thought people put so little value on something that a person could earn a living with and for the environment to put something so useful in a landfill. WHY!!! LOL but seriously I'm broke and really I'm trying to find something to occupy my mind and find a way to contribute and to live. I have lost my little brother who was my best friend, and business partner as well as my brother years ago and my Ma passed away last year. I wonder if you can give me a few simple projects and what basic tools i can get started with? Lol no budget or talent or anything but I can get used tools one at a time. As I go. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated a list of the very basic must have to get started as well if you could. Thanks J.J handyman S. Arizona Tucson AZ

Awesome, I will and thanks for being loyal to your fans. Gotta say I love my Aussie brothers and sisters ( I have a great friend Frank from Melbourne) whose good cheer, friendliness and enormous hearts have put a smile on my face and warmed my heart. My friend Frank Kanakaris is literally a world away, yet I count him among my closest friends. I have learned so much from him and that's to spite the fact he is nearly half my age and we've never been face to face. We met on an ADHD discussion group 5 or 6 years ago and we have been video chatting ever since. His reaction to my brother's death and genuine love and grief touched my heart. When I have saved enough money I plan on surprising frank by flying to Melbourne and going to his house. Once I am there calling him and knocking on the door while I'm talking to him. Lol might be a while though, since covid airfare to Australia is expensive. Sorry for blabbing so much just appreciating my Aussie brother's! Jimmy. James W Beckwith Jr

Massive pallets, boy youre still in the pallet little leagues, all jokes aside, look around where you liklve for a farm machinery supplier, i get pallets from my local john deere, 2.4m>6m pallets average board width of 180mm, i got some the other day that are 300mm wide too, because they're single use pallets they're usually really clean and most of the time they are happy for people to take them. Also solar farms if you see any getting built, 90% of their pallets are sh!t but you get some beasts occasionally. About a month ago i scored a 3mx5m pallet with boards 150mmx50mmx5m. I used to get the standard pallets but theres just so much more blade destroying crud in them.

Labor & glue time is where you lose value. Interesting layers are costly with free/recycled woods. Should have an over head table saw where you are not pushing wacky shapes along a fence.

why the blue resin tho? I get ppl use it when making river, but it's really ugly, and it's cold, and wood is otherwise warm, surely some warm color would fit better... or is it just for contrast?

Hi Mark. I love all your stuff. I love your brick laying stuff. I dont get many opportunities to get decent hardwood off cuts esp dry lol. They are however quiet short. Do you think by doing alot of bricking and gluing they would come together ok to make longer bricks. Hope that makes sense lol

I often laminate my short offcuts togther together to make long boards and they quite effective. I show it off in a video about a 2.4m salon bench a way back. Cheers
