I used unwanted linden branch scraps, which were not needed for previous projects, for carving tailed cats. This wood carving is easy and inspiring. In the video, you can see the block is 45 mm in height and 20-25 mm in diameter. If you measure from the head:
1. Head - 10mm (If I carve a vertical line for the head diagonally, and depending on the type of face).
2. Front paws - 8mm
3. Belly - 15mm
4. And back paws - 12mm
All of this can be increased by making the belly smaller. I just make the back paws larger than the front paws. I also left 15mm for the head, but for this, you need a longer piece of wood (55mm).

About my knife:
For wood carving, I used my regular whittling knife which I made myself; the blade length is 40 mm, and the overall length of the knife is 130 mm.
