Hello Travelers! So in this video I will be going through 4 Star characters in Octopath Traveler: Champions Of The Continent that I think will do well until you get the 5 Star characters you want via Off-Banner. This way hopefully you can save your rubies for characters, that really matter and potentially help you form a more decisive decision, when thinking of pulling for new characters.
Of course, feel free to do whatever you want with your rubies!

A must use 4 star imo: 1. Meena She can boost healing, place her in back and pair her with healer, not necessarily a good one but cleric is preferable for multiple heal. 2. Cedric I'm so impressed with this one. For a cleric, which makes him good at healing, he deals a decent damage, especially the fire damage. Idk why he is 4 star when his skills are 5 star 3 Ashlan (front) and Camilla (back) These two are excellent. Just try it, you'll love it *wink* *wink* 4. Kurtz To weaken enemy's attack and slow them, good for boss fight. The rest you can use your creativity.

Edit: Slight mistake, Shelby's passive, regens herself not ally infront. Sorry! Hopefully this helped newer players and current players when deciding whether to pick up new characters. Of course, feel free to do whatever you want with your rubies! Thanks for watching! Peace! ✌

I would also add Elvis since he is FREE 5* & easy to obtained. Just finished upgrade him to 5 star level, he is Pretty much your main Lightning damage dealer until you get something better in the future

100% Heinz is good too for a 4* Dark Character, I only showed some examples...since there are a lot of characters xD thanks for watching!

Great video! My favorite 4 stars I use the most are Ramona, Helga, and Camilla (and Peredir for new areas for weakness reveal). One correction to the video is that Shelby doesn't have the backline HP regen support like Ramona, Camilla, and Merrit do. Her backline support is status ailment resist and she only regens her own HP, but she is still great with the 3-hit axe, which most 4 stars don't have 3-hit abilities. Another correction is that Menno is referred to with non-binary pronouns in the game (I haven't done Menno's quest yet to see the story, but I had always assumed Menno was a guy until this video where you're saying Menno is female, so then I looked it up).
