Nice for those who need it, especially in the hands free states. I dunno if that is all states or not. Here in Georgia they passed that law. Great review

Seems like it can block my view. Can we mount it upside down so the phone stays below the steering?

That would depend on your dashboard shape but it's designed to be above sort of like a heads up display.

I have one similar and it doesn’t block your view. I had to add some slip resistant material though because after some time it loosens up and flys off the dash.

Not really, my current holder is on my right, I have to take my eyes 👀 off the road and turn my head. The dash mount would keep a forward vision. IMO.
