@Holy Saint Of Allah let me explain. In this video it shows how terrifying daigo is especially at 1 pixel of health. If he plays like that throughout the entire tournament, even if he loses, can the guy that won the tournament really feel like a champion? I mean he knows that there is a monster like that in the same room as him. He should problably just be glad he didn't have to fight him.

I remember when people were saying the opposite too when SFV first came out and how SFV was too fast. Goes to show both how much the community has changed and how much SFV as a game has changed to become slower. Also, remember these are Evil Ryu clips, he is a very fast character in comparison to the others in this game.

Fun fact: Ryu and Evil Ryu used to be one and the same character, but they got split into two separate beings. In Street Fighter 5, Evil Ryu is known as Kage (AKA Kagenaru Mono).

More than reaction I would say prediction. It was safer to land and light shoryuken rather than just stand there waiting for the oponent to do something. It was amazing nonetheless

(Hello from the future) That specific move by chun-li is actually slow; as in, the the animation frames is long before the hit. Thus, it's actually easy to counter it when you're still. The way I see it, Infiltration was the one making the wrong asumption that Daigo was going to attack right after he comes down. However, Daigo being Daigo, generally likes to play off his opponent's moves, and thus, pulled a shoryu instead as soon as he saw the animation.

This happened in SFV: My 8yr old friend was just doing his usual run in the summer and a “ANOTHER BATTLE COMES YOUR WAY!…” dialogue appeared Daigo fought with Kage in SFV and he let Daigo get a full meter and got Flash Prison Murder (Shun Goku Satsu)(Round 1) and Metsu Shoryuken’d (Round 2)

I recently started playing street fighter 4 and i can say its harder than Street fighter V. No wonder all these unknown and low level player from the street fighter 4 era now in the top ranking because Street fighter 5 doesn't require too much skill level, the combos, spacing, looping etc is very easy to do in STFV. Could be because the pacing is different and STFIV feels slow sometimes and i miss the combos frequently mainly because i am new to the game and played only 4 times and need a bit understanding about the timing when hitting moves but landing a long combos feels so rewarding the 4 compared to 5 because 5 was a lot easy for me and i was landing combos in my first play after 20-30 mins of practice. I have a couple of STFV combo videos on my channel if anyone's interested specially for the R.Mika players. No wonder all these player who had master level of skill like daigo in 4 declining in 5 because no every joe is a high level player. No offense to anyone.

Zaselim Gaming Videos I believe their goal was accessibility. I think they wanted everyone to have a chance in the fights whether you’re just a weekend gamer or if you put thousands of hours into it. I understand what you mean though, I mainly play Street Fighter 3 and when I got Street Fighter V I noticed I had to slow down a lot.

Lmao 801 Strider had everything to fear when facing Daigo. Some of these clips he's given up in salt with frustrated wakeup EXs over and over than get his bearings to at least try to pull off a round. To be fair though, SF4 era Daigo was monstrous so I can't fault him for feeling he was washed before it began.

Sf4 was so much cleaner and more fun to watch than sfv. The problem with fighting game sequels is that they keep adding new mechanics and the truth is the simpler a game is the more it forces a players skill to carry them instead of a plethora of options or gimmicks.

The problem is that SF4 was not simpler than SF5, in fact, exactly the opposite is true, SF4 is much, millions of light years more complex. The skill limit in this game is prohibitively high. And that's one of the many things SF5 does wrong. It's slower, more casual, it looks bad and sounds bad. No 1 frame links, slower, ugly and no fun. Not surprisingly, SF5 sold much worse than SF4 and is generally not liked in the community. And I'm not even talking about championships, SF5 has never even come close to the hype of SF4 tournaments.

Is it just me or is sf4 way, WAY faster paced than sf5? I barely play 5 and never played 4 but I always thought sf5 was too fast with 3f normals everywhere. This makes 5 look like a snail race.

Just far less block stun and hit stun meaning it is way harder to confirm and punish. No crush counter so back dash on wake up is actually viable and hence harder to pressure people. Moves are generally much safer like Evil Ryu can actually oki with ex tatsu since if the opponent blocks he is going to get pushed away by the block stuns. I would compare SF4 to KOF where pressure game is heavy and sometimes it is best to abuse the game’s fast pace rather than focusing on hit conforming combos. There are some really ridiculous thing that could never happen in SFV. Like in USFIV It is viable for Ken to intentionally yolo a Shoryuken and instantly cancel into red focus attack. If the opponent did press a button as an attempt to punish/pressure he is going to eat the red focus straight in the face, which usually will be followed up by a full damage ultra, losing 525 health in an instant. This isn’t even a scrubby technique and people would use it in tournaments.
