Multi-Platinum GRAMMY Award winning global superstar USHER’s Afrobeats & Amapiano-infused R&B track “Ruin” produced by and featuring Pheelz is his latest release leading up to his highly anticipated ninth studio album, COMING HOME, out on February 9th.
The music video for “Ruin” is a creative reunion between USHER and Dave Meyers who also directed the videos for “U Remind Me” and “Risk It All”. Shot entirely on iPhone 15 Pro, it uses home as the allegory for love as USHER explores different meanings of it through a number of scenes throughout.
USHER will headline the Apple Music Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show in Las Vegas on Sunday, February 11th.

That line “u ruined me for everybody” almost made me cry. So relatable. Sometimes we invest everything in relationships that weren’t meant for us. Wen it’s over we not only heartbroken but damaged. Wat happens next is that it keep bleeding over into each relationship. As u can see in the video, he is unable to find that commitment with one person since he’s so damage. Same way one woman goes, same way all of them go. His last chance is break the cycle with his daughter, show her wat love is so she grow up and find meaningful connection and not be damaged as him.

I agree with you. While this song and Kissing strangers are rising in streaming and in radio, they deserve to be performing way better. Thank you, Usher. I love the song. I actually interpreted the song as a good ruin. This means when you find true love no matter the dynamic. This one seems like the love from father to daughter. We have to keep requesting this song, streaming it and listening to it. If we can do that this will dominate on r&b, urban and rhythmic. This has to be heard everywhere in order for it to crossover. If this song crosses over, then it will open more opportunities for R&b to grow. On my mama, made for me and good good did great, we want this song and many other songs to thrive and cross over.
