Using a BFS setup fishing in the river! (Bait Finesse System)

In this episode we fish in the Rivanna River in VA. We catch a few different species from small mouth to bluegill, and pike minnows using a BFS system!

Those silvery minnow fish are called Fallfish. They are the largest member of the minnows family. They're often found in warmwater streams where you may catch trout or smallmouth.

Yeah, they call them pike minnows down here. Cool looking fish and they fight pretty good!

That reel is the Nako Flight Feather. It was on-sale on black Friday for $130. It's a great reel on a lite weight rod. That rod is just a cheap push button combo from Walmart that I swapped the reel out on for less than $30. I use a 1/8 oz underspin and it bomb casts so far bro! I just bought a better rod for it and I have another one of those reels coming to the house.

Creek Fishing looks like such a good time.. Unfortunately there aren't any creeks big enough out here where I'm at to do this sort of thing. I do plan to get up into the Truckee River a bit though come Summertime this year!

I’ve caught a lot of pike minnow aka squawfish. I don’t think those are them. Cool catches though either way .

Nice fishing trip. Since we have had nice weather here im missouri since the stock trout in October. We have had a great time with them. Catch and release until. Feb 2nd. Be blessed. My friend.
