I try out a decal eraser for the first time and I am in love. No longer do you need to peel a decal and use adhesive remover to clean the mess. Check this out! How to remove vinyl decals.

try using it in the correct direction / spinning / if at the top of the decal while moving to the bottom of the decal ? with the drill rotating clockwise against the decal is when it works like it should , rotating like it is lifting the decal up from the surface and not pulling it ! your welcome

Heat it with a hair dryer for a minute, start peeling a corner then heat the decal ahead of the next bit to be removed as you pull it off. Faster.

Michael Bradish I have used this method as well. The only thing is it usually leaves the sticky residue and the eraser wheels removes everything.

This is perfect for that. I used it on a Miata with vinyl pinstripes and it only took minutes to remove.

Does it work with decal shadows? Have a decommissioned police vehicle decalshadows were removed but shadows on the rear remain

Not that I am aware of. That would need to be polished.

If the decal comes off easily best to use a heat gun, warm up the decal and pull it off, for the harder decals use a eraser wheel and once you get better with it you’ll have no problem. DO NOT use on plastic parts.

@@dsruddell Definitely, I would not recommend on a dually panel, you could gouge it easily, I would use a heat gun , but be careful with that also, just enough to peel it off.

The wheel works great ! However.......try following up directly afterwards with spraying WD-40 and scrubbing it firmly........takes everything off.... and brings out the true new color !

Angel Avina I’m not sure if that’s fast enough. The dewalt that I used does 4400rpm. I was going about half and that’s still about 2000rpm.

I do this for a living and this is absolutely not how to remove vinyl from cars. Heat it up with a special commercial steamer or a heat gun or a hair dryer. Then use a plastic razor blade that you can find at the auto parts store to start peeling the corner of the vinyl.

@@JohnEngel Lowe’s was a no go as well as every auto parts store and Home Depot. Harbor freight would have had it though. I finished my project with a plastic scraper but I think I’ll pick an eraser up just to have. I had no idea about them

Dude, Its pointless using a Caramel Wheel if you dont have it 600-800rpm then you use your hands anyway,,,Cmon that was a waste
