Learn from my mistake, move your trailer every once in a while, and don't let it sit. Youll wind up with flat spots and dry rot on the tires. Was a costly mistake for me.

Yes, Luke, it has been a long time since you have been to the "Cabin." I noticed yesterday when I saw the last episode you did there was a year ago, or at least that is what it said of the video description. I think it may have been last fall during hurricane season. It's okay we are very forgiving and are very thankful you take time out of your busy schedule to make content for us.

The last thing you want to do if you are stung, bitten, or poisoned, is panic. All you'll do is raise your heart rate and speed up the reaction. Remain calm, use any means you can to slow the toxin down, and get to a place of treatment as fast, yet safely as possible. The quicker you can do that the greater your chance at survival. That doesn't mean take off running, just try your best to get help as quickly as possible, while trying to maintain a calm composure.

Luke, my friend I worked with at the hospital got stung--first time reaction! He puffed up so bad--could not breathe! He wound up in ICU on a respirator! His arms and legs were so huge from swelling that they had to surgically cut open his arms and legs to allow the "the excess water to drain" before his limbs split open. He was past the use of epinephrine. They had to use Steriods around the clock to keep him alive. The pain he was in was so intense, he was placed in a medical coma for three weeks! He was in critical condition. They did not expect him to live as the anaphylaxis shut down his kidneys! Most severe case the hospital had ever seen! WE all prayed for him, diligently--after 48 hours of no kidney function, and dialysis, his kidneys started working! Doctors said it was a flipping miracle. It took an additional three weeks for his body to go back to normal size, and the cuts were all stitched up! My friend was awakened from his coma! He was in mental shock over everything that happened to him. It was a full three months before he came badk to work. Since he was stung on the job--everything was covered by Workman's compensation! We worked together in the ER--a wasp nest was in the roof of our building, finally they found their way into an air duct into our ER--it was horrific infestation! Three of us allergic to these things, only one of us--my friend got stung. So the two of us that were allergic, we (which includes me) were put on paid leave for 48 hours until this nest was neutralized by pest control! Yes--your allergy can get worse without any notice--or can progress slowly over time. it depends upon your own immune system. I was born with so many allergies--lived with them all my life. I take no less than 5 types of antihistamines to stay alive. I was supposed to have died a long time ago. My allergist/immunologist calls me a walking miracle. I am now allergic to chlorine in tap water. This is really bad. I am coping. I cannot just use tap water out of the spigot--causes total body hives, itching and breathing problems! Stay away from the bees, stay safe and be well! God bless both you and Susie!! Blessings from Gresham Oregon, MIchelle Reed (ps love all the videos! Keep them coming!!

Luke, get some fibered roof coating. It's usually in an aluminum color, and you can probably find it at a mobile home supply store, or a farm and ranch supply store, like Tractor Supply, etc. Get a paint roller with a long handle, a paint roller tray, and coat the roof. The fibers should plug any leaks, unless they are huge. Even then, 2 coats should do it. Painted our equipment shed on the farm with it, maybe twice in 15 years, and no more leaks. Even painted the side walls with it, too

A little trick to elevate your cooking platform. Measure the diameter size of your table legs. Cur some PVC pipes that have a diameter suitably large enough to insert those table legs into the pipes high enough so that the table can rest on the tops of the pipes once cut to make your desired table top height, taking into account the resting point of the table on the top edge of the pipe. This trick can also be used to level off sleeping cots at a desired height to allow for under the cot storage for beds in a van build out. The PVC pipes just end up as lift supports. You could even add threaded sections for fine leveling adjustments on uneven surfaces. Let's see how that works out for you on your next video. Keep up your good work. Thanks!

Camping story for everyone who is a camping nut! Amiable spouse and I travelled in a 38' Keystone Everest 344J (sweetest 5th wheel on earth) for many years. Spouse LOVED the big "basements" it had and proceeded to fill said basements to the gills with firewood before any trip we took. Along with all the other "stuff" we thought we had to take, the Everest was topped out weight-wise! Our trusty Ford F350 Super Duty ( "Gunner") had all he could do to haul it fully loaded but we went all over the southeast. One hot summer we were at Lake Seminole with temps in the mid 90's all day long. I wandered off to take photos of the alligators and other wild lilfe and eventually came back to the camp site to find amiable spouse had gotten a roaring fire going! There he was sitting in his lawn chair beside the fire, sippng a cold one, with our big box fan at his side, plugged in with a 50' extension cord, running at top speed to cool him down. That was a great trip and we laughed about that old fan for many years!!

It was pretty dry down there last spring/summer on the Appalachian Trail until early June - then the heavens opened up. New England was sodden from nearly continuous rain in August. An older man, who was a week ahead of me, drowned while trying to cross Stony Brook in New Hampshire. What a nice setup for a stay-put camping trip! Watch those bee stings! I'm allergic, too. Same symptoms. Three years ago I got stung on the cheek, and my face began to swell up. I didn't have an epipen, so I took some Benedryl and did fine. I was concerned when my neck began to swell, but the Benadryl took care of everything.

You are lucky Luke. I go into shock and start swelling. My throat swells shut. Two pens and a box of benadryl will get me to the hospital. I got stung by yellow jackets when I was 16. I got sick and had to go to hospital. Never had trouble till then. Last sting was in the car with my dad about 15 years ago. Grabbed the pens and dad started driving like a man possessed. Got me to a hospital and saved my life. Just my hero saving me again. We lost daddy in 2020. I really want him back all the time but alas he is walking streets of gold with momma now. I am so glad you are not affected in this manner. Looked like super fun time and tasty meal.

Luke, generic--epi pens are cheaper! I use generic. Hint on the epi pens. One of my friends is a RN whose brother is a pharmacist, he told me that epinephrine in epi pens lasts one year past the expiration date on the pens. As long as the fluid is still clear and not cloudy or brown, the pen is still good. He said to me that he had one last 18 months! For safety--to get them replaced after 1 year --keep the expired ones as back up--for one year past their due date. Keep checking their solution! I do this. AS one time, I needed two pens to keep me going until I got to the hospital. In this way I still had two for back up until i got the refills. Glad you are okay!! Remember, I do keep both you and Susie in my prayers. Be safe, be well! Blessings from Gresham Oregon, Michelle Reed

I thought about doing this same thing. A utility trailer would mean i could haul my motorcycle around, but still have a dry, warm place to sleep. Nice simple sleeping arrangements, safe food storage. My wife however, wants something much more comfortable. Great idea. Did you do the work on the trailer yourself? Im not sure how youd find the time for it, given how busy you are with all your other projects. Next time you do burgers, try a little less salt, but use chilli powder instead ( which does have a high sodium content already), best way to make burgers.

I was allergic my whole life until I got stung in 2020. I immediately hit the stings with After Bite, and took a Benedryl. No effects from the sting! No swelling! Last summer I got stung 6 times: 2 from one wasp, 4 from another that went down my bra in back. I did the same treatment, and no swelling. My dad got stung twice and dropped dead. Putting a rigid cover over it is a nice idea, plus you can put solar panels on it and really upgrade the utility, and you could even collect rain water off of it. You can buy large capacity bladders that would fit under the cabin easily, then you'd always have loads of water available.

'In the sun it's a sauna' - using my days in the Army as a reference, all you need is a camo net, or similar and 4 x extendable poles. The poles we had, had an inverted 'basket' on the end, to easily support the net. That will take a lot of the sun away from hitting the roof of the trailer and make it much cooler.

I currently live in Arizona Southeast of Tucson, but grew up in Michigan. Humidity is a game changer when it's hot. You feel like you're wearing a hot blanket of wet that you can't take off. Glad your sting wasn't as bad as it could have been! And thanks for the phone tip!

A couple of years ago I got stung twice by wasps while gardening one summer. I ran inside and made a paste of baking soda for the sting. That did the trick of drawing it out, so the sting didn't last long. So glad I'm not allergic to them. I am like you in that I switch to being calm and clear headed in an emergency.

Love your 80° Luke! I live in California and today we’re looking at 99°, and the next seven or eight days between 104° and 114°. I’m just hoping my power stays on so I can run my cooler. If I lose power, I’m in trouble, those high temps are going to be rough.

Luke, Buddy. Im enjoying your videos as usual. you might want to consider putting those trailer tires on some steppingstones or pavers, so they do rot away from sitting in the ground.

Bloodsport was a huge part of my childhood in the 90s. Fun fact: Mortal Kombat took inspiration from Bloodsport and Johnny Cage was based off of JCVD character in Bloodsport. 😎

Drinking a warm/hot drink in hot weather is actually good for you. Hot drinks can trigger your body's cooling response by stimulating sweat glands. Just make sure you consume plenty of water when doing so 😁

It's started to get hot again here in SWFL. Tomorrow will be 94°F, and humidity over 80% that puts it st close to 110°F. Today it was at temps that felt like 104°F with humidity, so yeah you are blessed with the cool weather!

Have you been tested for an allergic reaction to bee venom before ? You mention yellow jacket and wasps and bees have different venom and while you may be allergic to one or both . I have an allergic reaction to honey bees but have been stung numerous times by wasps and have little if any effect other than the initial sting . Also have liquid Benadryl with you for use as a topical ointment and also to drink if your throat starts to swell .
