Been playing golf for more than 65 years and I have used all the grips; first the interlocking, then the Vardon, and for the last 25 years, the 10 finger grip and it is the best grip, especially for anyone who has small hands.

10 finger grip always felt the most natural for me. Interlocking was killing my shot every time I tried it.

I've been golfing for around 3 years and used the regular interlocking grip. My shots were always inconsistent, and never got the distance. I tried the 10 finger grip today at the range and 80% of my shots were straight and long. Gonna switch to the baseball grip!

Semi pro buddy of mine has been telling me for years to try it I just left the indoor range with my new SLDR irons I didn't miss a ball. Little tougher on pitching may stay with overlap while pitching but long irons driver 3 wood really helps you release your hands... Here we go this damn game always learning n tweaking something

I had to have part of my index finger re-attached and lost a lot of feeling and mobility in that digit, so had to change from interlocking to 10 finger grip. I'm starting to see the benefits. It feels quite natural and I can get a lot of control like that.

i changed to 10 finger grip and used a stronger left hand just feels comfortable and helps me play a draw

The interlocking and overlap grip feels like I have no power. The baseball grip feels so comfortable for me

Grip the club with ten fingers or twenty but be dam sure the pinky and the two adjacent fingers of the top hand control the swing . This allows you to hinge the wrist properly on the backswing and release the lag effortlessly on the downswing . The bottom hand just comes for the ride until impact or slightly after , this is occurs naturally . The first time you strike a ball with the correct release you will never forget it. That will be your new standard . Moe Norman , Tom Watson, Nick Price , Bobby Jones look different but the release is nearly identical .

I started 10 finger grip when I was little because of baseball. Just thought anything to do with swinging that was how you hold it lol

Theres so much power and club head feel with the baseball grip. But its so hard to control because my right hand tends to push the shot

The great teacher Harvey Pennick wrote in one of his books that later in life he came to believe that he would have taught, or at least tried out, the 10-finger grip with his students. He had a pro he respected tell him it generates more power, and from the comments I’m seeing here, I’m going to try it out (again).

Just today I try 10 finger grip. Feels like heaven.

started playing golf 3 years ago with a baseball grip i used to smack it but got told by coach better grip is interlock tried it and just gone back to baseball after 3 years and i feel so much more comfortable now and believe i have wasted 3 years Thanks for the video i dont feel like a lepar anymore !!!!!

I always got my hands blistered using other grip, i dont know why but ten fingers grip is the most comfortable grip for me. I feel more confidence on my golf swing because of it.

Not sure why I waited 30 years to change to a better grip (10 finger) waaaaay more consistent

Wow, this is the first golf instructor that said he use his right hand is guiding hand. I played baseball in HS. I have a baseball grip and a out to in swing... many instructor said you can never use right hand as guiding hand because u won't have power or consistency.

Wondered why baseballers don't use an Interlocking Grip! Perhaps because it doesn't offer max control and power, and it hurts their pudgy little fingers! (or is that only me...)

Moe Norman,the straightest ball striker ever known,used a 10 finger grip. He used to say in every sport you have all your fingers on the handle and golf is no different.

The 10 finger grip took 8 strokes off my score. I still stink, but I hit my longer irons much better and take less penalties. I’m hitting long irons so much better that I purchased 2 and 1 irons.

tried the interlocking grip and overlapping grip, but i don't think it suits me well. baseball grip still the most comfortable grip for me, feels natural.

I could watch this guy's easy swing all the video long. No talking, just views. Lets face it, these young 300 yard hitters won't watch his smooth, in the fairway tempo, but the grey hair set will.

I started playing golf when I was 4 (i'm now 17) , it never occurred to me to interlock or overlap the baby finger. No one ever noticed either because you can't see the difference because I keep my thumbs facing down! It's how I picked up the club and has never effected my play! I put it down to being ambidextrous and a left hand writer but a right hand sport player. Am I the only one who has to suffer with the right hand blisters though :(

If the goal of the grip is to have the hands perpendicular and you are using a ruler to demonstrate this then why are golf grips round and not square like rulers?

easier to close the face the lower the right hand goes. a split grip would give me the hooks where as overlapping im fighting the slice

holy crap. that was like Joe Biden trying to explain how to make a ten finger grip. BTW, ive bee playing for 45 years. started with the interlock, not good unless you like pushing your drives two fairways over to the right. Switched to an over lap and have played with that one all the rest of the years. I've dabbled with ten finger here and there. Played yesterday and committed to the ten finger for the whole round. I think I might be onto something
