I made a thumper. I quickly found out it irritates the heck outta me, so I don't use it no more. And other boats that go by look strangely at me thinking I had engine trouble. One asked "Is everything ok?". 🤔

Ha ha. That would be a bad engine problem. With it back in the back and inside a compartment it really doesn’t bother me too much. I thought it would have bothered me more, but then again if it helps catch fish then Im sure it listen to air horns all day if I had too.

Love it! Question: How big a battery would I need to run a Thumper & a Splasher for say 5 hours?

I believe mine is a Group 31 and it’s ran the thumper and splasher for more than 10 hours of use except for moving spots and it’s never ran down.

So do you still use that thumper machine thing when you're going fishing? Or is it really not what's bringing all the fish?

We really only use thumper in deeper water and the winter. Pretty much always use the splasher but I think it’s less effective in the winter.

Have you try it at 20 to 25ft.. or it just only work on 30ft

It will work in shallower. I don’t think you can go wrong by using both splasher and thumper. I was using it other day in 15’. I was more struggling to catch fish so was trying everything. I think it’s more effective in the winter though, but know people who use it year around and seems to work for them. We just typically don’t use it in hot weather as much.
