In this video, I will show how to inject wax into a rubber mold using a compressed air wax injector. I show strategies for holding the mold and show a special tip at the end.

Thank you for all the details in making the steps involved. Made it real easy to understand every step.

Thanks for the great video! I have resin and silicone experience and recently got a resin 3d printer. What are the chances I can get a good wax pour into a silicone mold without a wax injection machine? There are so many things I need to buy to get over the hump into lost wax...

1.) Do you cut air channels in your molds to let air escape? 2.) Do you use higher air pressure for injecting larger waxes?

Thank for those clear explanations. Question : after my first injection , the nose got stuck with cooler wax, and I could not make the second injection. Does that mean the wax was not hot enough? How high must temperature be ? It was at 160 165 F , is too low ? Thanks for the help.

Check the recommendations for the particular wax that you order. They will have this listed with the manufacturer.

Hey great video definitely will try letting some air out when I inject the wax. I was wondering is there a certain temperature I should be at? Seems like I have the same brand and color wax you have. I keep getting what looks like small air bubbles in the wax pieces. Any tips or info is greatly appreciated 🙏 I'm very new to all this

Check with the manufacturer where you bought the wax. The temperatures are often printed on the bags. They are all different.

Thank you for this detailed video! I'm new to casting and your videos are very helpful. Does your wax pot keep the wax at a stable temperature or does it fluctuate? I bought a wax injector recently and can't for the life of me keep it at a stable temperature... it varies from 150 - 180 F on the very same setting and I'm wondering if that is typical of most others as well.

Our wax pot is OLD, but it does pretty good on temperature. I find that I have to adjust pressure every once in a while and sometimes I need to adjust the heat. I think that our wax is a little higher than we need, but I finally found a pretty consistent temperature and marked the gauge with a permanent marker. We have a cup under it to recycle dripping wax. If I turn the pressure off every time, it means I’ll have to adjust pressure more than I’d like. I also often cast the drips- because they are beautiful:)

First the wax needs to be melt in higher temperature and after that decrease the temperature to your requirements. It should not be liquid or solid. In between them. Then inject in mounds. For fine tuning temperature you can add an auxiliary fan regulator ( volume type not step type) if available there.

Don't overheat wax.

You might have some heating elements that are out. A functioning wax injector should hold temperature relatively consistently.

Love this video! I'm looking to buy a wax injector and found a similar used Rey on eBay. I've done some searching and it seems like this brand may not be made anymore? I'm curious if or how you get replacement parts? It seems like a good machine, but I would hate to buy one and then not be able to fix any issues that may come up down the road. :)

I’m not sure. I think they don’t sell them anymore. So far, I haven’t had to replace anything, but I am certainly hoping it keeps going strong.

Injection wax from a jewelry supply store. I think this is Fire Aqua™ Injection Wax, 5 lbs.- or something similar.
