This will remove rust that has been there for years and the total setup cost was under $20 because most people will already have most of the parts. It can be scaled up or down pretty easily

Nice video Bill. That looks like a Go Power Sports emblem. Ive also seen videos of plating metal with a system like that. 👍🎥🇺🇸

A mad scientist and I love it :) I remember as a kid doing this with a couple nails, salt water and battery in a soda bottle to make a hydrogen.. yep… Not overly exciting other than a poof, but science is always cool!! Great vid :)

OOhhh, I haven't tried that one. I am going to look into it. With the ridiculous heat and medium-high humidity here, rust is the state vegetable. 🤣

My rust remover is a wire brush and oil, preferably together and Toots uses rebar as stakes for plants in her garden,. bean trellises/pyrimids/flowers and such. Lasts a lot longer than wood and you can tie stuff to it a lot easier. Happy weekend, Uncle Bill!

I am sure you have all the parts you would need, you should give it a try! It's a LOT easier than a wire brush, and it won't scratch up the surface. 😁

@@GuysPlayingWithTools I'm getting rid of all my parts as units. No more for me and oil base paint takes care of rough surfaces if you stack layers. Happy weekend You 2!!

Thanks. I was a little flustered trying to use a backup microphone that only worked when it wanted to. It's the end of $10 microphones for me, I went and got a better one the next day

What about removing rust from pewter
@GuysPlayingWithTools
@GuysPlayingWithTools 2 ай бұрын
I had to think about this one a little. Pewter is exceptionally resistant to rust and corrosion and it usually cleans up pretty well with nothing more than soapy water. If that doesn't work I would suggest using silver polish on it rather than electrolysis. I would expect the copper to cause problems. If you want to try anyway, I would experiment with a scrap part before trying it on a part you like(In a VERY well ventilated area!!!) Since you made me think about it, I am going to look around the local Goodwill store for something cheap and pewter, just to see what happens. I expect bad things but it should be interesting. 🤔

A home made rust remover cool beans 🫘 there Bill 💵 the guy on KZfaq does that with the parts that he restores then he dips them in a process to prevent rust from forming again The channel is called AJ restoration I need to do that for the carriage bolts on the craftsman gt tractor mower Pan instead of having to replace them
