Have you explored the world of fascial training for your pelvic floor yet?
You'd be surprised how many misconceptions are still out there about the structure and function of the body anatomically... and that's exactly what we're going to chat about today!
My guest is Anna, a women’s health physical therapist and myofascial release practitioner.
I couldn’t think of a more qualified person to discuss:
-What biotensegrity is and how it relates to the pelvic floor
-Why Kegels are ineffective in healing pelvic organ prolapse
-The importance of releasing through the pelvic floor
and more!
So without further ado, click play NOW to listen in on my conversation with Anna!
Now I know you’re ready to start strengthening your pelvic floor… I know you’re tired of dealing with pain and dysfunction in your body… my Core Rehab Program will give you the workouts, the resources, and the confidence you need to heal your body from the inside out. You can join my program at www.ericaziel.com/core-rehab? but hurry - the doors close on Thursday, March 31st at Midnight CST.

Thank you for this interview. Your questions and her knowledge has connected many dots for my individual situation. This is helpful as I work toward my next steps toward “normalness”. As an aside I looked at her other videos, her last name spelling is Crowle, it helped me find her more quickly.

I wanted to thank you for this. It is helping my tie together some of the pieces coming together I of the thoughts coming together are not to my pelvic floor PT, but to my daughter who is a licensed massage therapist who does a lot of fascial work. I have a rectocele and felt some of the limitations put on me by the PT to avoid "pressure" to the pelvic floor were actually making the problem worse because sometimes that "pressure" is stretching everything down there. I am also seeing a physical therapist who is helping me with balance and strength while being very mindful of range of motion. So much new information about the importance of fascia. A lot seems to be in my adductors. Yes the rectocele is in large part there because of a hysterectomy some 25 years ago because the support structure around the rectum is removed but it is so much more than that. My biggest focus is turning more towards range of motion of everything associated with hips and relaxing everything else.

I had a prolapse 10 years ago ,where my cervix of my uterus elongated,so I could’nt sit. So I had a prolapse surgery, where they cut that piece off,and also had my bladder lifted with a tape against the front vaginal Wall. But about 3-4 weeks after,I already felt something dropping in my vagina... and I took a mirror and looked. And sure enough ,there was something pink and round peeking out...😱 As it turned out , it was not my uterus ,but my backwall of my vagina falling...😢 So it never really healed ,and I have now had this for 10 years, with backpain ,pain in the vagina when i Walk to far ,always feeling I need to pee ..not being able to pee or poo correctly ... It has been periods where it is better or worse ,and lately it has become far worse . I don’t know if Healing the fascia will work for me at this point . I want to have something done about it ,but it is difficult to get them to do a surgery again ,even though its been 10 years. It is not that I want it really ,but I don’t know how else it can be fixed. Now I have problems sitting again sometimes.
