I can identify with this right now. My wife lost her job, got sick and neither of us can find jobs. Omg it’s been torture. Can’t bring myself to pick up the guitar, paint brushed or work on KZfaq channel. I want to run away but there’s nowhere to run.

Please, please, pick up your brushes/guitar. You need it most when you can’t bring yourself to work. Same with prayer. But if you’re not religious, please just force yourself and start smearing that paint. You’ll feel better before you know it. And before you know it, you’re going to get that inspiration. Some amazing pieces were written or painted when ppl were at their lowest.

I’d like to share a couple of my favorite quotes from the Legend of Spyro trilogy… I feel like these dragons’s words could help a lot of rouges out : “All warriors feel fear at one time or another… There’s no shame in that, but only the bravest among them can learn to face their fears and master them” Terrador (New Beginning) “Even in the darkest of times, there is always hope. But sometimes fear clouds our vision, sometimes our strength gives out. And yet sometimes when all seems lost, a light shines through the darkness and we are reminded that even the smallest amount of courage can turn the tides of war” Ignitus (Dawn of the Dragon)

Welcome to my whole life. I keep getting dumped on by outside forces and I have been burned out for years. I stopped trying to make art to sell and started making tiny little collage pieces that make me happy, and I keep them in a box on my desk. Art is strictly therapeutic at this point but I don’t have creative energy often so it’s a treat when I can actually do it.

Wow I needed this video today, thank you so much. I have been overthinking SOO much about pursuing art even though I genuinely want to try. I really felt encouraged by this video and less alone. :)

11:19 I love these podcasts. We can connect more deeply with honest talk about our struggles in what comes at us in life. I love the way the way you two face what is in front of you. For me, when things are overwhelming, one thing I try to do is slow down, soften, and surrender which is just the opposite of what I ordinarily do. Love to both of you ❤.

Bless your heart Rafi, a pacemaker isn't anything to worry about. I have family members who had them, they all were fine and lived a long time with them. I know with anxiety it's easy to blow stuff out of proportion but I want to reassure you, your pops is going to be fine and everything will be ok.

Videos so helpful once again. Sitting with my feisty (euphamism) mother stage four cancer at 88 years, making digitized prints and cleaning out old files on my computer by her side. The organizing feels like order because writing and painting too intense with memories or emotions. In between retreat to a room alone to play/paint when we tag team home care. fachunk, breathe, feel, and let go.despite all family dynamics and personalities, I continue to ask myself who am I and who do I want to be and become. Life is sometimes delicate and demands our gentleness. Thinking of you and your family and the changes you are going through.

Y'all have been going through a lot lately. It's been like an emotional roller coaster lately, btwn the plumbing problems and your dad getting a pacemaker for his heart. Hopefully you can get through these hard times! I believe in you! You can do it! Just take things one day at a time. Do things at your own pace. If you need to take a break/ take it easy, do that. Good luck with everything! Hoping things start going better for y'all! Take care! Sending my love and moral support! Hope you have a great day!

Thanks so much, you guys! Klee, you really hit me with, "I have never thought my out of" the hard situation - and the very helpful jewelry example of heart vs math. Wow, I really heard that. We really do use the wrong tool so often! And, "I'm a human being sharing things with other human beings," and all the permissions to take longer and be imperfect. What a great way to set myself up to start the thing. Thanks as always, y'all!

Re: commissions: I've only been asked a few times. However my challenge has been when someone looks at my work, can't decide which one then I say, I can also do a custom piece of your favourite landscape. And then they never get back to me. Maybe they are more afraid of commissioning a piece than I am??

I was involved in a big nation wide hobby that lots of members took very very seriously, and some members pretty much devote much of their day to day lives around, and even with that there is a phrase used to forgive and forget when a person is not in the right place to be in the hobby. "Real life comes first" Dude, your art career is your job and what you do to feed your spirit, but family in the hospital has to take precedence. The Show must go on, BUT you have to do what's right too.

I was watching your newest video "drama" and it just disappeared. I disagree with the comment that was made about putting stiff out there. It's your truth- you should tell it. You never know what can help others.

so many people, especially smart people, trip themselves up with 'thinking about thinking about thinking'. Stop it. Just stop.
