Do you know if is it possible to set up FD-9 hi-hat with Roland SPD-SX with the same way you set up it with Octapad?? Just to use is as a regular hi-hat pedal from acoustic drums?? Opening/Closing Hi-hat ?

Hey can you tell me if I need a Drumcomputer for the octapad or are there own sounds Inside. I want to use it as a small drum set and i want to know if I use a hihat pedal if it works good with the octapad.

I have the Fd9 with the octapad but I can’t get the pedal to work with the hi hat pad, like choking with foot while playing with hands. Can someone please tell me what I’m missing in order to make this happen

If I upgrade a snare like the PDX100 will it have positional sensing? The pad itself does support this feature, but does the Octapad support it?

How in the heck did you reverse your feet action from standard drum set up. Plus the Octopad has upside down orientation.

I can't get my FD-9 to interface with a Hi-Hat pad sound on my SPD-30. The FD-9 makes a sound when I operate it with my foot but it won't talk to the pad. Do I have to do some special mapping or settings or something? I can't find any instructions on how to properly set that up :(

Hi there. Just came across your channel as I was researching the SPD-30, which I've now bought. It's an amazing bit of kit - a complete game-changer for me. I wanted to ask a question about the FD-9 controller I'm using. I'm getting on very well with it, but I can't see a way of increasing the volume of the 'count' or 'splash' ie. the sound triggered by opening and closing the hi-hat rather than striking the designated hi-hat pad itself. On my TD-25 kit your can adjust the hi-hat splash volume, without effecting the volume of the hi-hat trigger itself when played with sticks. Am I missing something? Is that independent volume control available? thanks again - great channel! Best - Chris

How do you get the FD-9 to work? Mine only makes a hi hat sound and does not control the open and close sound??? WTF this should be plug and play Roland..
