If anyone is interested in catching white bass, this is what worked for me in north texas. If the water is clearish, throw the color white, if the water is muddy/stained, fish pumpkin seed, chartreuse, black, anything that stands out. Fish baits 3 inches or smaller, 1/8 or 1/16 ounce rooster tails are money as well as jigging small grubs or paddletails. 6lb line and reel just fast enough to get the action of your bait going.

I know a guy all he uses for white bass is 2lb test never seen him lose a fish because of the line but I would never dare to do so lol

I found that when you’re fishing for pan fish species you go as light as possible. So 10lb braid 6lb leader it just make you stand out from everyone else.

@@GGAnglers I wouldn't miss an episode!! Yeah, I live in the SE corner of Virginia so do more saltwater than freshwater fishing. The ocean stripers are called "rockfish" locally, while the landlocked ones are "striped bass." I looked up white bass and they are in the western part of the state. Keep the bite coming!
