Thank you so much. This was really helpful in getting me unstuck with connecting my S49 with Logic and getting me started quickly. Native Instruments should have your video as the getting started. Most of their videos jump in to fast without the basics. I am super grateful!!!

+beku beku you can browse through the strips using the encoder knob...but you can’t browse logic’s instruments via the browser

Thank you for your answer. Sorry but i didnt understand well. So you are saying that i can browse channel strips of logic using encoder on MK2 but not logic instruments? If I can open my channel strips i will buy this, which for me is big deal. But opening instrumensts via kontroll 2 software it make no big advantage for me. Channel strips were the best thing in logic and the first reason to suitch from cubase to logic.

Thanks for the vid. I like the addition of the browsing screens and the new NI preset preview samples. However, given the S49 and S61 are 'just' controllers, with the software, libraries, samples, held on the host computer, why can't NI now offer the same preview feature under a software update of KK, when browsing with the mouse and/or Mk1 buttons?

+CubeDroid I believe that it will...I had to update the komplete kontrol software to a Beta version for it to work with the MK2...ill test it later...but I’m sure that it will

I still use an audio interface for audio output...the keyboard does not have a built in interface...but if it did that would make it even more awesome

Great vid! When I turn my 4D knob on my KK S88 this adjusts the volume of the selected track, rather than move the playhead. Does anyone know how I fix this? Any help appreciated.

If your KK screen is on the mixer, it will change the volume. You just gotta hit plug-in button on the keyboard and then you can move the play head

I'm wondering if you can do a video on using Komplete Kontrol as a multi-output for Logic X. I like to, for instance, separate kits from Battery or Drumlab, and have each part on separate tracks. This process looks as if'll take several steps in KK. I almost think it's better to just bypass the KK software, in this case. What say you?

Great stuff, man. Thank you! Question: When using third-party plugins, is it still this easy? I watched another video about how to use third party stuff, but I still am not quite sure if a) I can use all my other plugins, and b) if they would have this same level of integration with Komplete. It looks terrific, though. And thanks again for taking the time to demo everything!

Thanks...per BuletProof's comments below--is it at least possible to access Logic's instruments using the Komplete Kontrol? I guess it doesn't matter to me if the integration is perfect and Logic's instruments all show up automatically on the LED screen, but if we can't even get to them, that seems like a real let down. Otherwise, I'm sold on this thing.

I got this reply from NI: "Logic is fully integrated with our Komplete Kontrol MK2 keyboards. The browser functions available in Komplete Kontrol wouldn't apply to Logic's own instrument as they are not NKS compatible products but all NI products and compatible 3rd party products would. However, you would still be able to use the keyboard in MIDI mode with all the Logic instruments and assign midi directly "

Ordered the 49 bundle with komplete 11 ultimate. Cant wait this just like having a keyboard synthesizer workstation like a roland fantom x6 g6 Jupiter etc. What version of logic do u have tho? because it does say for all features u need the latest version or some nonsense like that.

John Mike man how did get all the the plugins to load in logic and the actual keyboard to load everything like that. I got my s49 It came with komplete 11 select I downloaded everything to an external hard drive. I can open komplete control and all the sounds are there and I can just browse and use it the keyboard to do everything but I cant get anything to load in logic. The keyboard works with logic sounds no problem but all the komplete wont load in logic. I'm a little lost watched a grip of videos and no one shows how to do this. Hope u can help.

I had the same problem. After installing all of my products through Native Access I opened the logic plugin called: AU instruments > Native instruments > ...and it prompted me to scan the library for instruments!

Did you preload Komplete Kontrol as a plugin to each track? Does it automatically read it has that plugin loaded when you switch tracks?

Sorry for all the questions, but you lost me here. If I want to edit the velocity of a note or edit the note itself, I can't do it right from Komplete? I need to launch Maschine and then I can edit MIDI data (like velocity, etc.)?

Hi , I updated my Komplete kontrol s49 Mk2 to 2.0. Ever since that update , the komplete kontrol option has vanished from my Native Instruments plug in list inside Logic Pro X. I have tried re-installing the software from Native Access. It works properly in standalone mode but when i try running it in logic i am unable to see it in the plug-in list. Help would be highly appreciated. Thanks.

Why Cant I Record Using The Komplete Keyboard Sounds And Packages. Im Using Logic Pro & I can't record using the sounds from the keyboard. I can just play them and hear them. I wanna record using the Komplete keyboard and the pre installed sounds. I also have battery4 and same issue.

Hit the blue external button to the left Under track on logic and click “kontrol virtual” then it should play back as the instrument.

My logic pro x doesn’t recognize my S88 mkII or Maschine MKIII. I’m running Sierra and can’t update to high sierra or mojave where i think it would work

Wow...that seems crazy. If they say it has full integration with Logic, it sure seems like Komplete should recognize all of the Logic instruments (and there are tons!) in its browser.

This is the main thing I want too. I’m very intrigued by the Komplete Kontrol series but I still think the Nektar Panorama is superior as a control surface for Logic. It controls all of Logic’s instruments and FX natively and you can also custom map all of your 3rd party plugs with ease. Better yet there is no proprietary software between the controller and the DAW... it speaks directly to the DAW. It doesn’t have the lighted keybed and the screen isn’t as nice but it has a motorized channel strip that is always focused on the selected track and lots of other controls.

+Matt Play i'm sooooo torn between the Panorama P6 and the KK S61 MK2! Being a victim of Novation's Automap, i just cannot tolerate with software getting in between the controller and the DAW. Motorised fader too is such an important feature. Those screens on the MK2 though damn!! :D

He doesn't mention the fact this thing doesn't allow you to edit effects within non-Komplete VST's. Also, for what it costs, I can't beieve there's no faders and even a handful of pads. There's also FOUR control buttons that are useless unless they're being used with Kontact VST's/DAW.

@John Mike... ok but whatever happens to 3rd party plugins control, ur only controlling komplete, how about another channel with something like not from native instruments....

It can control other instruments through standard midi CC...but you cannot navigate to those sounds through the on screen browser. There are some people out there that have created maps for some 3rd party sounds but you’ll have to google and see if they are available for the third party instruments you have

+Gizmoriderful Ye they actually work really well in the software...but you have to map them and save the parameters...but there’s also some trickery you have to do to get them to show up in the screen menus...I’m still working out the best way to do this...once I do I’ll definitely be doing videos on how to

Native Instruments ? If you wanna deal with poor software and the Customer Support that does not care - go for it, but I will never ever buy anything from NI in my life again. Horrible company ! Stay away from NATIVE INSTRUMENTS
