I was going to ask if it can do an unbroken screens without cracking them, but then I realised there is not many cases you would do that - lol -, ie, you usually do cracked screen replacements . I guess it's the rare case where you have a dead phone with a good screen, and a good phone with a cracked screen. I just did my S8+, and the instructional vid showed the guy use a laser temp gun to heat it to 76º, ie, a more controlled/predictable way to heat it.

Not a bad price either IMO. I imagine that pays for itself after only a couple or so repairs.

I think it's save me at least a few 12 series screens. I damaged a couple doing it by hand and had to replace them. Haven't messed up a single screen with this.. although I guess without it, I would have likely just improved technique by hand instead of buying a tool!

I didn't show it in this video but the bottom plate that clacked loudly is part of the reverse side of the tool. It will also clamp them shut but you have to move the big screw and reconfigure it a bit. I'm doubtful anyone uses it for closing phones though!

@@ststele I would leave the tool in suck mode, Ooow naughty sounding :) Do you wipe the incoming phones?. People have a disgusting habit of taking calls while going to the loo, yuck yuck. Ill shut up now.

I think they primarily had iPhones in mind with this tool. It is a very big help on 12 series and up!

IF YOU TRY TO OPEN THE WINDOW WHEN COLD IT WILL BE DAMAGED. YOU MUST OPEN IT WHEN IT IS WARM. I WORK IN A COMPANY WHERE WE REMANUFACTURE APPLE 11 PRO, MAX ETC, 12 PRO, MAX ETC 13 PRO, MAX ETC. AND I KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT. BETTER WHEN THEY ARE A LITTLE HOT OR WARM, A LINE CROSSING THE ENTIRE LENGTH OF THE SCREEN WILL SURELY APPEAR.
