Paper towels. that's really smart! I made this dragon design and I keep having renmants of solutable stabilizer in the scales. Definitely gonna try this! Thanks!

Another way is to not wet the paper towel and just use the steam from the iron. That works great as well. That's what I do.

I just made my first set of tee shirts - and am definitively going to use your method to take the ‘“ws’ stabilizer off! Couldn’t figure out how to do that without dumping the whole thing in water! Thank you!

Interesting. Thank you for showing this. I always just put the project (with Sulky Solvy under embroidered areas) in the washer on delicates with cold water and dry it for 8 min on delicate and either hang or lay flat to dry.

She says they use this stabilizer to optimize the look of the embroidery before photographing it for their website and later says, "You don't want to spend time drying your shirt..." so perhaps she's trying to avoid actually wetting and drying to get it camera ready faster. But I'm right there with you. For most of us embroiderers, just wet it and dry it.

Learned a easy technique for removing wss by turning the item inside out and mist the back of the design (mist not soak) let sit couple seconds, turn right side out and everything will just glide off. Crazy easy! I believe the tip came from Boniqua Sewing & crafts.

Do you just use the water soluble stabilizer on top of tee shirt, is there any stabilizer inside the shirt too?

you are very correct; why would you use anything else for a WATER SOLUBLE stabilizer smh

Water soluble stabilizer is used on knit apparel. Washing it before giving it to the customer, wouldn't be appropriate. So another way of removing it is needed.
