Schwartzman has such good groundstrokes and timing...truly inspirational for anyone who feels height is their limitation!

I’m a woman and I’m 4’8 even shorter. I’ve never let my height discourage me from doing anything. I just started tennis a month ago and my coach says that being short is a good thing in tennis. I guessss I have a better sense of gravity than those of talent people. Diego is def an inspiration

I'm tired of people talking about Diego's height, he is an incredible ballstriker and tactician!
@unowen75914 жыл бұрын
so we're just going to pretend that he's John Isner? It's not an insult, it's actually a compliment that despite his size he has some incredible talent
@wellyngtonamaral40974 жыл бұрын
Vitor Hara his height is only important for the fans and the media because when the pro players are about to face him they only talk about that cause everyone keeps asking them about it. The pros knows that on that level (top 15) doesn’t really matters.
@simpbeforeusleep4 жыл бұрын
unowen7591 talent is innate, has nothing to do with height. Everything else is just hard work and mental strength. Nobody has to pretend he is isner but that doesn’t mean you have to make a big deal about height difference every match.
@pluto15new294 жыл бұрын
Height matters a little bit alright. But the science behind the tennis ball is that, gravity will pull down that ball and height doesnt matter anymore.
@user-kd2ez2mb3c4 жыл бұрын
pluto15 new what the f***** are you saying??? You realize how dumb you sound? What you say just exposes to the world that you clearly don’t play tennis and don’t know even a thing. Height does matter in tennis, there is an advantage. BUT BUT it isn’t everything, there are many factors that define a player skill level. Your explanation about gravity on the ball in relation to a person’s heigh is utter rubbish! Stop trying to sound smart.

its a converted break point. they usually include those in an extended highlight vid.
@nenadrajic38524 жыл бұрын
Well, it was a break point and for me good highlights inclued crucial points no matter if it was an unforced error or winner. Break points are always crucial so if I was to make highlights I would probably inclued every break point because that is how you get the best image of how the match went.

I LOVE schwartzman's games. Beatuiful forhand, beautiful over the heads, beautiful volleys, and beautiful ralleys.
@GordonAllport14 жыл бұрын
it would have been so easy for schartzman to say: My height is a disadvantage and the succesfull players are 2 meters height. But he is a monster and doesnt play around in the ATP circuit. I hope to see him in the top 10 soon.
@lukash.46904 жыл бұрын
Zverevs height was actually a disadvantage cause hes getting tired as the match went on and on. Diego is always the favorite vs zverev when they have to play 3 or 4 hours.
@JiraiyaSama864 жыл бұрын
Lukas H. That’s just BS, that his height wore him down. He is not like Isner or Karlovic, who aren’t as mobile. He is quite mobile, though not as explosive as Tsitsipas and Medvedev who are of similar heights. His passive play and lack of intensity throughout the 2nd and 3rd set and early 4th, as well as other factors were what cost him the match. I actually watched the match and it was later in the 4th set that he finally woke up and played a little better. Sorry, but the height being a disadvantage is just BS with Zverev. He is not like those giants from back then who cannot really move or play through grindy matches. Height was not a factor in how he lost this match.
@lukash.46904 жыл бұрын
@@JiraiyaSama86 zverev is way to tall and not fit enough to play rallies all the time and beeing fit after 3 4 hours . Every single time he has to play vs a really good opponent and he has to run for 3 or 4 hours hes tired , not like a for example thiem . And yeah his height has something to do with that. Medvedev was tired af too after 3 4 hours play. And tsitsipas is not quiet his height and hes way more athletic than zverev so that comparison is bs.
@lukash.46904 жыл бұрын
I was never saying that he lost the match because his heigt was a disadvantage . I was just trying to say that when he has to play 3 4 hours against a physical dude like diego , he doesnt win the match that often because he doesnt move well anymore cause hes pretty big.
@JiraiyaSama864 жыл бұрын
Lukas H. They are young. They haven’t completely maxed their frame yet. You have no idea how they are going to peak. No one does. So do not presume that he is doomed just based on this. You seem to be forgetting that Medvedev nearly won against Rafa and managed to keep it close to the end at the US Open Final. And it was best of 5. It takes time. These days even more so. Most players peak at around 25 to 27 now, maybe later. Del Potro has shown it’s possible, and he’s the same height. Height only really affects certain things like leverage, contact zone among other things. It does not have to determine the reason why players lose. They are professional tennis players. They train for how to play all types of opponents. They also know their limits and weaknesses. They train for how to deal with these situations.

16:56, the schwartzman's service has big speed
@farid14064 жыл бұрын
Honestly speed is overrated. Agassi used to serve 100 mph, Rafter 110 mph, Fedster 110 mph and get easy service games. Diego just needs to improve his toss and timing imo and he'll be set.
@recolinotyu4 жыл бұрын
@@farid1406 Dude schwartzman is 1.7m, you think it's easy for him to serve aggressively? He just has to serve with topspin most of the time to get the ball in, can't be smashing flat serves left and right like players with 1.85m+ can. His toss and timing are fucking world class, but there's only so much you can do at that height. Zverev is the one who needs to work on his serve, more precisely his second serve. His second is pathetic for his height, he's hitting so many double faults and pussy 68mph serves like at 21:15

What people don't understand is that a small height is an advantage for a player other than the serve. You can easily maneuver your way around the court and get under the lower balls and redirect them with better efficiency. Even in cricket the very best batsmen are of average height.
@Balfour.4 жыл бұрын
A small height might be an advantage in some single aspects of the game but overall is a handicap. There's a reason there's only four or five players under 1,75m in the top100.
