USS Johnston is Coming to World of Warships

After years of begging, the USS Johnston is finally coming to world of warships as a T9 Destroyer loaded with burst fire and SAP.
We finally get to sail into battle with the USS Johnston, a historic destroyer that played a crucial role in the Battle off Samar during World War II. World of Warships is tapping in to the bravery of Taffy 3 as they faced off against the massive Japanese battleship, Yamato and the Center Force.
USS Johnston has been sorely missing from World of Warships and all I can say is, it's about time.

It's "The Destroyer ESCORT that fought like a Battleship," which was the nickname of the USS Samuel B. Roberts. The USS Johnston was nicknamed "G.Q. (for General Quarters) Johnny."

Interesting to note that in 2019 the wreck of the Johnston was located, and in 2021 it was positively identified, so there is some recent news about this storied ship.

Also happy they are adding USS Wisconsin to the game. I'd like to see all 4 Iowa class battleships in the game. I'll definitely grab the USS Johnston and I've read about its fighting spirit and hoped for it to come to world of warships. I'd also would like to see USS Nevada in the game and maybe make it have a high damage reduction to dive bombers since she survived multiple atomic bombs.

So many historic ships that actually existed out there to bring to the game but wargaming would rather keep adding make believe fan fiction…so disappointing. Happy we’re finally getting Johnston though.

well lets just say its the second depest wreck and it foght against yamato and toock 1 i8 inch shell and still manedge to battle for a few hours

Please tell us more how it was you and only you that is responsible for bringing this ship into the fold. Oh and definitely remind us that you made 10 videos about it in the past that you and your 2 loyal subs (your parents) only saw. Contrary to what you think about yourself. Wargaming does not take its direction from you. Especially since your subscriber count is shrinking every day.
